Baylor running thread.

and yet....when you look at the Baylor site (I promise I wont rat out real Bear)...there is one guy leading the BU contingent that is LOUDLY proclaiming that Baylor is unfairly getting a raw deal. He claims the whole(...as in every damned claim) mess is orchestrated by bad, mean ole UT and it is all lies about "he said She said" stories that have no basis in fact. Worse, most of those lies were some sort of extortion attempts.

OK, I lied...I WILL rat out this Real Bear clown. He is calling on all Baptists and "fair minded " people everywhere to stand up and defend. Anyone that challenges him is branded a Mormon!

He might even believe what he is saying.....The main message is....dont send your daughters to Baylor.... If they manage to escape being assaulted, they have little chance to escape becoming stupid beyond belief.

Even still, the worst part of this is the BU administration saying they would consider expelling these girls that were out past 2 am for violating the Baylor good conduct code or some such charge. I dont remember where I read that, but I could find it I guess. Seems like it was from a SI or ESPN article.

It appears Briles is going to be safe and Baylor is going to remain quiet until football season starts. They will take the PR hit, get rid of Starr and maybe a few others. Losing Briles will result in total destruction of the school's athletic department. We're talking about millions of dollars in future revenue, but that all hinges on briles. If they fire him they will be a doormat for decades to come. The BOR simply wont have that. They will do whatever it takes to cover Briles ass.

1) i doubt that happens.  he'll move to the law school or something and will call the shots from there.  puppet administration.  no changes.  troubles/black eyes will continue.

2) i'm pleased to hear this.  if briles were forced out of football today, his star would shine for a couple generations.  my best guess is he gets his ass handed to him in the next few years and eventually quietly retires.  either that or the nfl quits hiring his creeps and he fizzles out that way.

i doubt he moves on.  i doubt he can coach anywhere but baylor.

Once again, we'll see what the AG digs up. Right now, it looks like BU is trying to use Starr as the fall guy for "lack of oversight". The AG - or others - still have to prove Briles engaged in a cover up. That's TBD, but we all know BU wants to retain him.
