How does this happen? Baylor should get hit for this. Simply suspending him for a blow-off game isn't enough.

Baylor passing game coordinator Jeff Lebby was on Tulsa's sideline during the Golden Hurricane's game with Oklahoma on Saturday, a violation of NCAA rules since the Sooners and Bears will meet later this season.

"I don't know what he was doing here," OU coach Bob Stoops said Monday when asked about Lebby during his weekly news conference. "It's something that needs to be dealt with by our people and the Big 12 office. I've got a team to coach. I'm sure they'll handle those matters."

Lebby was a student assistant coach at Oklahoma under Stoops through 2006. He also worked with Tulsa coach Philip Montgomery, who was Baylor's offensive coordinator last season.

Baylor coach Art Briles said he called Stoops on Saturday night to apologize after discovering that Lebby was at the game.

"If I had been aware, that situation would've never happened," Briles said. "When I found out, we alerted all the proper officials on both sides.

"It's embarrassing to me, quite honestly. To me, there's not an advantage first and foremost in today's world. I mean, we had every film they ever got, and they get every film we've ever got. So as far as scouting advantage, you're at a disadvantage standing on the sideline. I don't think he was there that long -- maybe a quarter. I'm not even sure."

Lebby is also married to Briles' daughter.

"It's unfortunate," Briles said. "I hate it. I hate it for the perception standpoint."

It's unclear what penalty, if any, Lebby might face. The Big 12 didn't immediately respond for comment.

Baylor has already suspended a pair of assistants for recruiting violations this year. Offensive coordinator Kendal Briles and receivers coach Tate Wallis both sat out the Bears' game with Lamar on Sept. 12.

First Briles' son gets suspended for an NCAA violation, now his son-in-law is seen on the Tulsa sideline, with is also an NCAA violation. No wonder Briles can't control his players who rape women, he can't even control his own family members.

That's my thing. What a coincidence that it's another member on the staff who is in the Briles family. Somebody really loyal to Art.

At some point, somebody has to decide enough is enough.

really,do you think he had on Tulsa "colours" to blend in............

again Briles admits he had no clue this happened  isn`t it part of his job to know what his family of assistants are doing. jackie sherrill is smiling somewhere wondering why he didn`t hire more family members as coaches. integrity has joined Elvis and has left the building

When it went public that Kendal had committed recruiting violations, Art denied, denied, denied. Then the rape of the coed, and Art denied knowledge of player conduct prior to enrolling at Baylor. Now his sil does something against the rules, and Art denies, denies, denies.

Does anyone notice a common thread? If anyone still thinks this is a standup guy, there's this bridge in San Francisco you might be interested in.

Hook 'em, Charlie! You 'da man.

Growing up there was always good nature razzing between Catholics and Baptist via jokes. We (Catholics) win yet again. :)
