Personally, if there's merit to that, then I would go for game 1, and give starters a lot of bench time during the rest of the tournament - while still trying to win.  

So, Allen isn't playing tonight due to some lower leg injury.  

I don't think anyone knows anything publicly but I do wonder if Allen was held out to rest/heal from a minor injury. Would he have played if this was the NCAA tournament? I feel like yes. I doubt we see him the rest of the big 12 and I wonder if we do see less of the starters as well.

I'm going to throw something crazy out.... so crazy that it might just work.  Here's my outside of the box idea... What if said player (or players) offended by the referencing of a Scripture - in light of their ethnicity, approached the coach - one on one, and explained why he found the comment offensive?  Might this have been resolved?  Might players and coach see eye to eye - and perhaps both learn from the incident?  Maybe it still escalates to the AD's office.... but maybe not.  My guess is players and coach come out of this closer than they were prior.    

In all fairness, maybe it did go down that way.... I just don't know.   

I actually think that DBut82 may have hit the nail on the head.  This gave the AD a good reason to get rid of a coach whose program appears to be trending in the wrong direction.  Cancel culture can be expedient in that way.  

The other issue that has been reported about Adams is that he accidentally spit on a player at some point - talking or yelling and some spit flew out of his mouth. The problem, he didn't apologize for this and instead reportedly said something along the lines of, "I can spit on you whenever I want". 

Not sure he sounds like the "lets meet and hash things out" type of coach. I do agree with what you say about this being a better approach overall. I get the sense that UT has quite a few of these types of coaches on staff currently. Sark and Coach Vic for example.

I agree on Allen, but are we a lock as the 2 seed for the NCAA tourney? If we are, let's manage the minutes of all the starters. I feel like we need 1 more win to secure the 2 seed. I haven't heard a definite answer on that from the talking heads.

Why do we keep using our own personal assumption about what he said? You're defeating a point you don't even know exists.

More than half that team is at least half-white. I suppose being half-white, and the product of an obvious non-racist relationship, might be a good thing. But no, we simply MUST make them out to be offended. The coach CHOSE those players, I suppose because he's so damned racist. lol

This subject is worthy of a quick and immediate death. The discussion does not seem to improve.

Need to shoot better tomorrow but I loved the defense and intensity. Turnovers will be big against either TCU or K-State. They will both kill you at the other end if you give away the ball. TCU also killed us on the boards last time. 
Should be a good one either way.

TCU looked awful good tonight but part of that was how bad KSU was playing.

Good win because it was a win - but man that was a sloppy and ugly game.  I’d like to think we are fine-tuning for a long run in the big dance.

Glad to get the win, but man we have some WTF moments in games. If we can play with the effort and energy like we did last Saturday, we could have an interesting seeding especially if we win. For sure on the 2 seed line, but could we move to the 1 seed if Bama, Perdue, or Houston loses.
