Ban Baylor from the Big 12

It's something in the Brazos River. Thought most of it ended up near A&M campus, but apparently not.

And add UTSA - hell, they have a stronger OOC schedule than Baylor.

Look at Baylors OOC schedule for the next 8 years.  They are an embarrassment to the Big 12 and a black eye on the conferences reputation.

2015

SMU

Lamar

Rice

2016

Northwestern State

SMU

Rice

2017

Liberty

UTSA

Duke

2018

UTSA

Duke

2019

Incarnate Word

UTSA

Rice

And, beginning in 2010, they have added two new powerhouses - Abilene Christian and Louisiana Tech.

And we thought aggys were the only ones that humiliated themselves.

Baylor definitely gets the conference Tampon Award. It's embarrassing and something Baylor followers have to endure. Let's face it. How fun can it be to watch your team play "Liberty?" And no sports show in their right mind are going to use their airtime to show clips from a game of that stature.

Baylor needs to have their schedule cost them.  It already has, but with some sort of gray area that allows them to believe otherwise. It just needs to happen again so the point can be made more clearly. I see some sort of graphic displayed on ESPN SportsCenter that shows a schedule comparison and why Baylor was overlooked.

And then what do they do? They wrapped up into these contracts with little sisters of the poor.

Baylor's mentality is to create as weak of a non conference schedule as possible then catch fire and win the conference then you will be in the playoffs. However that doesn't work all the time, as we saw last season. If it were us or Oklahoma that did that it would work because of the brand.

It sickens me that Baylor has the momentum to play tough teams right now and become a national player but won't. But hey, that's why there's only one school that truly represents this state

If a weak non-conference schedule keeps them from winning a NC, good. I'm not 'conference pride' guy. We've lost 4 out of 5 to them. That's considerably more pressing to me.

ESPN -- "..... these are the 10 easiest non-conference slates in 2016"

http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/14745484/baylor-bears-easiest-2016-nonconference-schedule

1. Baylor Bears

Sept. 3: Northwestern State
Sept. 10: SMU
Sept. 17: at Rice

The Bears are looking to upgrade their nonconference schedule in future years, something that needs to happen if they want to gain favor with the College Football Playoff selection committee. But the 2016 slate is once again woefully weak. Baylor is likely to open the season ranked in the top 10 nationally, maybe in the top five, but the Bears won't have any margin for error in the Big 12 -- not with a trip to Rice being the most difficult "test" Baylor will face in the nonconference part of its schedule. The Bears might make a run at 200 points in those first three games.

Compare that to the three easiest out of conference games for all of the SEC schools And often A&M has four of those types of games. No different.

I am not taking up for Baylor. Just pointing out that the SEC schedules are just as easy.

What a surprise, not a single SEC team listed by ESecPN.

Let's take a look at their OOC schedules, shall we? The only thing that bouys their schedules is the one difficult rivalry game - UF vs FSU, USCe vs Clemson, for examples.

There seems to be a common philosophy running through the Baylor program. Seek out someone weak you can take advantage of and hope no one realizes.

All for kicking them out of the conference.

Since Grant Teaff (spell) have not liked any of their coaches.

Basketball or football.

Have always thought aggy kind of silly and ridiculous.

But Baylor just flat out stinks.

Some kind of attitude surrounding just Waco I guess... but they have an attitude problem that is light years from the character and world of The University of Texas.

They no longer belong in this conference.

Get a team of lawyers on it, and roll them on out.

Do it.

It's easy to criticize Baylor's OOC schedules, but look at it from this perspective - IF  BU really is perceived as a '2nd Rate Team' by traditional powers, how easy can it be for them to line up attractive games? What does a USC, Alabama, or (hell's bells) even A&M have to gain by playing and losing to BU?

UT ain't gonna schedule Wake Forest, Northwestern, or Vanderbilt anytime soon either. Just sayin'
You make a good point.  But I think it goes deeper than that.  I don't think top level teams are afraid to schedule Baylor, they just don't think they will provide the revenues that other teams do.

For sure, USC would rather play Texas than Baylor for just that reason. $$$$$$$$$$$$

Well, you do have to give them credit. They do have Duke on their schedule for 2017 and 2018. That's a power 5 team. How hard is it to schedule Colorado, Indiana, Purdue or other power 5 doormat?

looks like we are adding rice and la tech to our future schedules too.  what does that say about us?

For Baylor and Briles it the whole philosophy is to be healthy and injury free when everyone else is beat up and running third string players at some positions when conference begins.  They poor huge numbers on the score board against the weak teams and their fans love it , then they hope to do the same against conference foes who are all having to deal with more injuries on their team becasue they played a much toucher non conference schedule.  If Baylor's QB had not gotten the freak neck injury last season I think they would have made it into the playoffs and probably won the conference.
