I posted back in Sept/OCT how the new era of "BMD" wanted a football coach first, and this is what they go....someone who will be what his title exactly applies to...

i agree..BMDs dont need to be hiring a coach anyway but i know what there role is so we need them to be united and behind our coach..sounds like its all good..good sign seeing tom hicks flew strong and his family in on his plane..

Agree, but I think we still need the BMDs support and buy-in. CFB is like an arms race these days. A&M's dropping $400M (?) on upgraded facilities, Baylor's building a new stadium on the Brazos. We need to stay proactive and set the bar. That includes a new basketball arena.

Jim while I understand where you coming from, you come off negative quite often on multiple boards. Post some positive things sometimes man.

Good. His job is to win football games first and foremost. Filling air time on the LHN should be way down on the list of priorities.

All big program coaches spend about an hour a week on a TV or radio show. No problem with that amount of time but he doesn't need to be in LHN studio more than that.

From what I have heard, there are many BMDs are disappointed and ticked right now. But let's clarify what that is about.

There's not disappointed and ticked over the Strong hire. It's not like we went and made a bad choice. Strong is a strong hire.

They're disappointed and ticked over what could have been or should have been with Saban. He was close to being our HC. This isn't obsession stuff, but a simple emotion attached to that moment in time.

Strong is someone who makes them feel better about the whole thing.
