The Dallas Cowboys lost their third wide receiver when Laurent Robinson signed with Jacksonville..

The brought in a bevy of receivers to try and be that guy. My pick and the talk of the just started OTA's is Andre Holmes..Big Wide Receiver is not the right term for Andre.

He is 6 - foot -5 and 210 pounds...He ran a combine 40 in 4.51, has a 35 inch vertical jump, a 10-foot-10 inch broad jump, did the cones in 6.69 seconds and has 34 inch arms.

He went undrafted last season, mainly because of his lack of experience. He was signed by the Vikings but released and spent last season on the Cowboys practice squad. Last in the year when Phillip Tanner went down, he was brought up even though he was unable to play due to a hamstring injury. The reason was to keep other teams away from a guy they feel has the tools to be a star in this league.

He was first noticed before the Detroit game. Because of his size he was chosen to play the role of Megatron on the scout team. He impressed everyone with his hands and ability to catch everything thrown his way. He will have some stiff competition but even if the gets the fourth receiver spot, the sky is the limit for this kid..

Go Cowboys?

They thought Danny Coale would replace Robinson but he broke his foot. Holmes seems to be progressing nicely with the team and Coale is supposed to miss a lot of training camp. Could be a hidden gem for Dallas (which NEVER should have let Robinson go IMO). Witten will not be the big yardage guy he was in years past and Romo needs another target.

On Robinson: You can't keep everyone and Jax way over paid for Robinson. He got 5 years for nearly 40 million. Pro Football Focus says Robinson got the least double coverage of any WR in the NFL. Number one was Megatron but he was followed closely by Dez Bryant and Dez actually had more triple coverage..this for the Dez haters.
