And what’s the issue with saying you want to have a woman as your VP? If he wants to have a ticket that represents what our country looks like, that’s a good thing. I do realize he was considering all women at one point. Gretchen Whitmer was in consideration along with others as well. My point isnt that none of are qualified. I never said that. I said it would have been better IMO to never say this upfront and just pick one of them and say among everyone I think this person is the most qualified. Why confine it before the choice is named? Just say "I have my pick and among all possible candidates I have chosen Harris. She was more qualified than anyone else." That would have looked better to women instead being the best choice among women

The first article you posted was from 2019 and he said he would like a woman of color but said he wouldn’t commit. The second article didn’t have a quote from Biden or his campaign saying that he has committed. You know why? Because he hadn’t. If you just did a search you would have seen articles written After the 6/30 one you posted about how he needed to pick a woman of color. Because he hadn’t committed to it yet. There was even talk a week or so before Harris was pick that Gov Whitmer was meeting with him and people. She was on air and didn’t deny she was meeting with him about the VP selection. If he had come out like you said and committed to selecting a woman of color. There would be no need to have her own to discuss that. Again man. I’m trying. But if you’re willing to lie or push nonsense like this. I don’t know that there’s a real dialogue to be had.

I added the paragraph after the post of links. I have zero problem with a female president or vp. You are right he was considering all women at one point. Gretchen Whitmer, Amy Klobuchar, Kirsten Gillibrand, and maybe a few others. He has always said that person must be "simpatico" with him. My point was IMO it would have been better to just pick a woman after looking at all candidates, men and women, instead of narrowing his selection before hand. Just my opinion. It sends a stronger message to women.
I’m not a woman so I won’t pretend to know what would have been a stronger message. But the woman in my life didn’t care that it was announced it was a woman. They thought it was an obvious selection. The best VP candidates were women. Women want representation. Biden recognized that and he made the decisive choice to let it be known he would have a woman as his VP. If I know I want BBQ. I don’t need to consider other food options. I just need to know if I’m going to Franklins, Micklethwait, or Valentina’s. The reason is irrelevant.
And on a side note. I haven’t looked but does this board have a thread for places to try in the state?? That’s definitely something needed.

I made this comment because my wife said it to me when this was going on and we discussed it. I can see her point.
She also hates it when men buy flowers for their wives on Valentines day. I know weird right? I think so to but she has always said I would rather you buy me flowers on a random day than on the day you are supposed to because society says you should. LOL
I guess I can see her point.
People are different. My girlfriend wants flowers on Valentines Day. Does make either woman right or wrong.
