...is say it ain't true. He's supposedly out there recruiting hard. By now, every kid on his list will have heard, or be told by competing schools, about the situation. But we hear nothing. That speaks volumes.

While your post is true on almost all accounts, here is something to ponder. The bulk of the college football nation is unaware of he rumblings on a handful of UT message boards. Mainstream media has not run with this story from any angle, whether out of respect for Mack or lack of credible, verifiable information, (apologies to McPhaul, et al, no offense.)

Without a cart and horse to pull this story nationally, there is only, in the grand scheme of things, a very small percentage of folks that are dialed into the whole story/rumor/speculation.

Until it's picked up by some major entity, this won't be a major problem for Saban, and he can defuse any situation with recruits on a person by person basis.

Good point. But it's hitting a pretty major stride. We'll see. I know I can't wait to get back on to Horn Sports between everything else I'm doing all day!

Saban had two media sessions this past weekend. One on Gameday for two segments and Sunday night discussing the bowl game. All he had to do is drop in something about agreeing to an extension or have the Alabama athletic department prepare a press release right before either announcing it and this is put to bed. Not to mention the fact that his agent Jimmy Sexton has had enough time to work out an extension for two of his other clients who have been linked to the Texas job in Malzahn and Fisher, but has been unable to do so for Saban. How does that make sense? Actions speak louder than words and Saban's actions don't look anything like a coach who is going to be on the Alabama sideline next season.

This!

I would love to see any recruit have the balls to ask him if he's getting fired this year! He probably just dodges the question if he's asked.
