Aggies

I don't know but to say it wasn't impressive would be lying.

Charlie Strong was brought here to build a program. That's what he has to do. He might have to do it initially with 3 and 4 star guys but eventually Texas will get back to the top of recruiting.

I think South Carolina is very overrated.  They lost too much.  You cannot lose the heart of your defensive line and secondary without suffering.  That's what happened to them.

A&M will still have problems.

Both, however aggie is loaded at the skill position and will be a problem for every defense it faces.

South Carolina has a ton of problems though. Biggest is qb and secondary.

South Carolina ha 433 yards of offense without a running game and several dropped passes, some of them big gainers or drive extenders.  SC's defense looked pathetic but A&M has done that to the SEC for 3 years now so the only surprise here is that people still act like there is some special brand of defense in that conference.

As horrid as SC was they should be a contender for the East and everyone will think that means something becasue, hey this is the SEC.  A&M will be a contender for 3rd in the west but probably finish 4th.

South Carolina was WAY overrated. But this is what happens with the push to get as many SEC teams into the top 25 as possible in the early polls. Some just don't belong there and wouldn't be there if they were in any other conference.

I was not impressed with the defensive game plan SC offered early. Ags looked quick offensively, but I believe they will struggle against Bama, LSU, Auburn type athletes. Just my opinion.

That was classic SoCarolina. They're rarely good as early season favorites.

I thought Sumlin's post-game comment was interesting - that "nobody expected them to win"/"gave us a chance." I'd say they went on the road and leaned on the disrespect card heavily.

A&M's OL played very well (especially in the first half). The Ag's will now proceed to annihilate Lamar, Rice & SMU and everyone will fawn all over them.

TAMU is for real - we should not kid ourselves.  Their OL beat the living snot out of USC.  It was a mismatch and the score indicates that..

Sumlins comment was actually very smart of him. They are now a you didn't think we could but we proved you wrong team. So more eyes will be on them destroying these weak opponents and as you said people will be all over them.

Guy has a good offense system and he recruits to his system.

Receivers were open everywhere. USC was playing either zone or uh-oh defense. Sec defenses turn more qb's into heisman candidates.

Much respect to TAMU.  They came to play.  SEC L(east)!

They could easily be 7-0 before heading to Tuscaloosa.

When will Kyle Allen transfer?  Will Kyler Murray decommit?

Can't wait to watch Hill play against Rebels defense. Robert Nkemdiche is a monster.

Kenny Hill was more highly rated that Manziel coming out of high school.

I didn't anticipate A&M struggling on offense.  Their D played better than I expected, though.  Hill has been and will prove to be a much better passer than JFF.  He may not be as "entertaining" an improviser, but he will be a better game manager.  He's a cool customer.

Yeah, they looked very good against one of the most ill-prepared teams that I've seen in recent memory, but one game does not a season make. Let's wait and see what happens the first time they get punched in the mouth.
