One last snippet I received today. I wasn't going to post it because I initially thought it was a worthless thing to post. But the more I think about it the more I think it's post-worthy, even though I can't provide a name. I was told under no circumstances should I do that.

Remember back when there was a late surprise on the recruiting front? How early recruiting kinda ended all that for most?

It's "likely" to happen this year.

Don't scratch your head much about the why or how. Apparently this has been brewing a while and would happen in late January or perhaps NSD.

Can't recall the last time it's happened to Texas. Poona Ford was a holdover from Strong recruiting efforts at L'ville.

Maybe I should clarify. The surprise is in that no one has ever really taken this particular recruitment seriously and it barely registers on the radar. That wasn't the case with Davis as we followed his recruitment through the process.

Okay, I was going to save this for this week's "Crossfire" but I'll go ahead and share big news.

Been checking with all my sources (I have multiple sources) this morning and from what I can gather, M. Jefferson did visit A$M this past weekend. Some of my sources think things look good for Texas, some think it's A$M, some say don't count out L$U, and some are unsure at this point what he is going to do. He is also going to come out with a list of his top schools some time this week.

Oh, I almost forgot. According to my sources, Malik received a phone call prior to his playoff game last week that apparently motivated him play a very inspired game. The word on the street is that the coach was none other than one C. Strong.

The key thing to remember is that this a fluid situation. It could go any one of several directions. But no matter which way it goes, at least one of my sources will be right.

Your original post said something along the lines of it's "likely" to happen. So whether or not it happens the "insider" can say he is right. And we won't even talk about how "vague" the information you gave is.

This is why anytime you read "inside" information, regardless of what site, always take it with a grain a salt. It will be intentionally vague and will be intentionally presented in a way the "insider" can claim he was right no matter what happens. That's why I like to poke fun at them with some of my posts.

1. I said there would be a recruiting surprise toward the end of the cycle. That's specific, not vague. Did I give you a name? No. But if I had, would it be a surprise any longer? Two days ago you had no idea something like that would happen. Now, you do. And you didn't have to put salt on anything.

2. I do not understand what your point is about right and wrong. If we do not have a surprise at the end of the cycle, then he's wrong. When we do, he's right. Please explain what's difficult to understand about that?

3. I'm not trying to sneak anything by you or anyone else. I BEGAN the post by saying I would limit what I would say. 

I don't know about the poking fun thing. If that's fun, I'll just have to take your word for it.

I'm fairly certain stuff like this is why insiders left OB. You can't say anything without there being a contentious incident coming from it.

Plans are to enclose the south end zone of the stadium using luxury boxes/suites and additional seating as well as upgraded locker room.

However, this will not get underway until after the basketball arena is built and also after an academic assistance program, modeled after LSU's, is launched. Apparently, there will be a large academic center exclusively for UT athletes that they can go to 24/7-365 and get help and assistance with their academics. After that, DKR will get underway.
