True, there will be several significant changes, but as the following poster noted, it need not be totally concurrent.
I find the idea of keeping a lame duck HC in the most important sport (far and away) an extra year merely to ease the transition to be fraught with shortcomings of its own that override whatever short-term benefits that might come from it. And, as noted, said benefits are highly questionable considering the tension that would be inherent in keeping a guy whose time has come and gone (good finish to this year even included).
