#3 Texas vs #10 Michigan Game Thread

Tried to screen grab the FG video but it isn't working for some reason. There was definitely a FG block coming from the left side that I think impacted Auburn. Probably a better outcome that he pushed it right instead of kicking it into the FG block. A scoop and score for Michigan would have been their best offensive play.
interesting. I didnt pay attention to that

According to Davis Warren, they gave us the game.
hahaha was that in jest?

The biggest excuse they (and the media) kept throwing out was Mich 20+ players attrition from the NC team. My response was BIG DEAL Texas lost more than that with 17 due to grad/NFL and 18 transfers. How many returning starters on defense? 2 maybe. Offense had all new RBs and receivers. Would be RB starter, Baxter, out for the season. Texas' second TD was by a true freshman (Gibson) and longest run was by a true freshman (Wingo) Cry me a river Mich

Here are the Mich PFF ratings by position during the Longhorn game. Some of these scores are generous, IMO, but when a high percentage of scores are below 60, then your team had a bad day.

Looking at the snaps, it's interesting how many defensive players had more than 50 or 60 snaps; meaning they played virtually the whole game including against Texas' 2nd and 3rd teams. DTs Kenneth Grant played 60 snaps and Mason Graham played 58 snaps. they cant do that every game or they will wear out by the end of the season and they would not have developed their backups. Also, Graham & Grant are suppose to be one of the best DL tandems in the country but both received scores in the 60s.

Another interesting note, QB Warren received the highest score on offense that wasnt a TE/OL and he's not very good. That means their whole offense was pretty bad on Saturday. TE Loveland was suppose to be their best offensive weapon and his score was 55.

Let’s get into this week’s player grades and snap counts.
