2026 PORTAL

Lot talk about Coleman & Baugh would be good, but they are luxeries. They are not gonna protect Arch. OL should be #1 priority #2 lb
This my opinion

What makes you think they aren't? The media? Twittter? Where are you getting this information?

I hear about several OL we're talking to.

We'll have 18 visitors to Austin. Do you think they're all RBs and WRs?

So, this is where I get confused on the "salary cap". How can a team like TT outbid Texas when they have loads of money committed elsewhere and everyone is dealing from a comparable bucket? I understand they have donors and so does Texas, but that money can't be offered by the school, right? They (coaches) can't promise more.

You don’t promise him anything. Just have your donor and agent at the visit and they can hash it out. tt’s Chairman of the Board of Regents is the football teams moneybags. So pretty easy for them.

This is what I posted some time ago: NIL is the wild card. TT's billionaire oil man, Cody Campbell, is on TT Board of Regents. He is in a position to know what is needed, even if it is a wink and a nod. I thought it was unusual for TT to pay a softball pitcher over 1 million dollars. How about Michigan paying QB 8 figures? How does a softball player generate that much marketing or Name, Image and Likeness? Unless there is some curtailing of NIL by Congress, NIL and the Cody Campbells of the world are here to stay. So is TT. Otherwise, attorneys will be suing for violation of Sherman Antitrust Act. That being said, there is a poster on here that supports NIL and free enterprise. Players are shopping their services Salary cap? That is a joke. That pertains only to the school side. $100 handshakes in the past by boosters are now given by players. 😉

Hopefully that gives both positions.

I guess we will see if Deloss Dodds was right.

We don't keep up with the Jones," Texas athletic director DeLoss Dodds once said. "We are the Joneses."

Think UT was a finalist

From OTF/Burton

Michigan all-conference OL Andrew Sprague has entered the transfer portal.

Sprague entered with a no-contact tag.

Texas is expected to be a real player in this recruitment.

He has played Tackle and was an honorable mention in their all conference selections as a freshman. This would mean Baker would move to OG.
