On LB Riley Pettijohn...Roach at 247 wrote that even though A&M did a great job with him recently, he believes Ohio State and USC are the teams gaining momentum and he's trending out of state.

The dust may have to settle a bit on this one now that official visits are over, and hopefully Texas can get him back on campus at the end of July for their recruiting event.

Fasusi and Moore are at the top of my wish list. Next would be Lee, Faraimo and Marco Jones.
That is an impressive list of recruits regardless. To think that we are in position to get a majority of them is exciting.

From what I've been hearing, it sounds like Pettijohn is being courted by Ohio State and USC pretty hard. So I'm sure he's at least giving them a good listen. In fact, on OTF they said it was trendinig away from Texas but that Texas was still in it.

It's not over, but confidence has slipped a bit.

OTF thinks Texas has at least a 50/50 shot with Orogbo right now.

More interesting is they don't expect him to pick Tech.

OTF's latest info suggests Pettijohn is down to Texas, and then one of A&M and Ohio State with no mention of USC.

Filsaime (former McKinney High teammate) and Hill are seen as positives for the Longhorns.

I think they described this as being more similar to a portal recruitment that will come down to the 11th hour. I took this to mean that he is shopping his NIL value and this makes sense with what was said about A&M making him a lot of promises that helped them get back in things.

Seems like he likes Texas best from a football perspective. I'm sure Texas will take care of him in regards to NIL. This staff has also shown that they won't blow up the NIL market for any one player.

Myron Charles (9) and DJ Sanders (6) are both top 10 DTs in the country. Josiah Sharma is 18th. If we land those 3 that is a really good class at a position of need. Keep after Zion Williams (31) and/or keep working to keep Brandon Brown (27) in the fold. Other than that, keep looking for a late riser, later flip, etc.
