When are we going to start being “very aggressive”?

This staff is doing well on the recruiting front.

I'm guessing this is a situation where aggy is offering him a bunch of NIL. Sark has said he doesn't want that to be the primary reason athletes come to Texas. On the other hand Texas has lots of resources, and you would hope that we would be able to offer in demand athletes completive NIL(and soon to be direct payments) packages.

I can't blame RP for trying to figure out what his market value is, hopefully TX will be able to offer him a competitive package, so that he will be able to go to whatever school he prefers, and until now TX appeared to be his preference.

FYI spring/summer official visits have officially ended, and we're now in a dead period until July 24th.

That weekend will be a small window for programs to hold one more recruiting event before two-a-days start.

Another dead period will begin immediately after and run through the majority of August until the college season starts.

Wiltfong of On3 posted this morning that he's hearing positive things on TE Nick Townsend.

He has sources telling him things are going in the right direction for Texas currently.

On WR Kaliq Lockett...IT saying his parents loved the trip and felt it was the best official visit they experienced from start to finish.

His father is partial to Texas and knows his son would excel both on and off the field in Austin, and his mother appreciates that the school is a "public Ivy."

OTF believes Lockett will be the first of Texas' WR targets to make a decision.

IT feels that scenario benefits Texas the most if they were to land all three five-stars.

OTF saying Alabama isn't as confident as they were on DT Josiah Sharma, and they expect him to make a decision within a week.

Texas is "very much in the mix."

Wiltfong and Simmons at On3 like Texas for Lockett right now.

This would be huge. I think Jackson eventually is an interior guy if he's already 270+ lbs. Hold on to Brown and get Sanders, and that's the best DT haul Texas has had in a very long time.

Hank South crystal balled Sanders to Texas. Gerry says growing confidence in Sharma.
