I would guess that the staff will look at everyone that hits the portal. We did have a player either hit the portal or is about to in Matt Scott II. He is a outfielder, but if Gasparino doesn't hit the portal then with Farmer, Williams, the guy that redshirted this season in D. Jordan, and the or 3 outfielder that are committed do show up. We have a good amount of outfielders, but expect the staff to look at outfielders as well.
As for the draft, in the top 200 draft eligible:
Belyeu, Spencer, Galvan, and Flores are in that.
On top of that the seniors are also done:
Schluessler, Andre Duplantier, Mercer transferred in last yr. only played in a couple of games.
Now 1 senior that could get medical redshirt, I believe, Ace Whitehead if he wants to go that route.
Others eligible for the draft that are redshirt juniors,juniors, redshirt sophomores
Riojas, Grubbs, Ethan Walker, Kade Bing (I believe), Harrison, and a few others. Not that all will be drafted or sign.
But staff will be active on both trying to get the HS guys to stay committed to us and getting portal guys.

So, Ace Whitehead is going to transfer out. Oddly, Chase Covert II, pitcher that I believe was one to the multiplayer that followed Schloss and Weiner from aggie to Texas. The staff is split on whether Gasparino stays or goes.
Was a little surprised by the Sam Richardson portal entry same with Dovovan Jordan.

Covert to the portal? Yes, that is out there.
Gasparino? He is a talent, but he needs to grow up. The word is that his feelings got butt hurt for getting benched for a game or 2. Seems he quit after that or just didn't care. Either way, that gets him in the doghouse of coaches. During the arkie series when he left the 2nd base to start running even though the ball was a pop out in foul territory; I would've benched his ass for the Saturday game and the next few games to see if he gets his head on straight. So, I think he might leave to go to either USC or UCLA since he is from Cali. But if he stays, great hopefully he will finally have the magical yr at the plate and be the player that everyone talked about him being.

Don't know if that is true or not. It might be more like we can't be seen firing a 1st yr coach that failed massively. Besides if they doubled some of the NIL deals to keep some players it looks even worse to fire a coach that had his balls tied to NIL deals. Kindof like Jerry Jones and the Cowboys.
However, if Covert, Jordan, and Scott end up at aggie, those idiots will consider it a win over us if just 1, but if the 3 go there they will think Christmas came early.
It’s widely talked about amongst Aggy that the current AD was hired to reel in the spending. The Jimbo buyout crippled them. It would’ve cost $6million to buyout the staff after one year in a sport that doesn’t bring in as much revenue as football. Also being said the donors on their side care more about football and a lot less for everything else.

We got a unility infielder from Wichita State from the portal.
We should have somewhere around 6-8 portals guys coming in this weekend.

He could play 1st base and 3rd base. Could also be a DH.
He has only 4 errors the last 2 full yrs at Wichita State, believe as a 3rd baseman, but double checking on that.
He hit 15 homers last yr, but will strikeout a good bit. Believe his batting ave. is around 285. Only had 211 at bats with 21/22 walks. Bat from the left side.
Name is Josh Livingston? Not certain of the spelling.
