2024 Recruiting Board/Thread

It's true. A kid can verbal to Mizzou or another Mizzou school and get NIL monies starting in HS. The school is obligated once the kid commits.

HOWEVER, the kid can take the NIL money and then commit and sign to another school at the last minute. The recruit is not obligated.
The law could help kids who really need the money, then pursue their dreams elsewhere.

That’s fine.

I just don’t want the kids to come under pressure for it right before signing day.

Bummer.  If we don't land Baker then start to worry about the OL haul for this class.
Seems like Baker is the only guy we are really after at this point, other than Carter.

Getting the center and left tackle of the future is this class would make it a huge success.

Miss on Baker, I'm sure the staff would start pushing on some other guys, committed or not. I won't judge the OL haul until signing day because we have already seen Floyd and Sark do some big things in December.

OL is one of the main areas without worry. We've already established some depth and the staff is being selective.  We're looking good for Baker. They will probably try to flip someone late or go in on some late bloomer we're not even talking about now.

Or portal, but the thing is, they don't have to.

If all they get is Baker the rest of the way, we're fine.

We're looking good here.
