Yep. Their narrative was similar to Simmons' a couple of days before his commitment. I think McKinley is a Horn in waiting!

He has nothing to lose by committing to Missouri right now:

That second clause is critical. It clears a path for Missouri high school athletes who graduate early and enroll in college in January 2024 to sign a financial aid agreement with an in-state university, which can happen as soon as Sept. 1. Such agreements are non-binding for the athletes, meaning they are not required to attend the school but could still earn NIL payments this fall, before signing a letter of intent in December.

IT guys talked about it. Apparently it started 8/1 and kicks in once you sign financial paperwork with the instate school. Works to the player's advantage as it binds the school to tge player's, but not the player to the school.

That is very strange.

That is very strange. 

It's true. A kid can verbal to Mizzou or another Mizzou school and get NIL monies starting in HS. The school is obligated once the kid commits.

HOWEVER, the kid can take the NIL money and then commit and sign to another school at the last minute. The recruit is not obligated.
