2024 Recruiting Board/Thread

Jordon Johnson-Rubell will also be announcing this evening. :)  TFB says it may be announcing a decision date. They expect to be as early as this weekend.

TFB says it may take a Hail Mary to win the JJR recruitment. Ughh.
Sounds like Vogel is backpedaling a bit.

"We’ll have an update in the morning that will be a bit more favorable on this front. Turns out the last two weeks in this recruitment have been all over the place and resulted in some interesting twists and turns."

IT emphasized that Sark and Coach Flood went to see him first when they were allowed to hit the road recruiting in December.

He's that important to them.

IT talked to an OL coach who was recruiting Daniel Cruz...

"This kid is full of intangibles. Those kids don't fail. And when you watch him in the weight room power clean, he can unlock explosive power in his hips that we don't see a lot. And when you are playing center, that is a differentiator. Can't miss player."

I can't believe 247 has him a 3*.  They were saying he was the best OL at the Dallas camp.

On S Jordon Johnson-Rubell...

TFB was reporting he was very likely headed elsewhere - to Ohio State - because they had received intel that he filmed a commitment video while in Columbus.

They're saying any opportunity he did have to be in Ohio State's class is now off the table because he took an official visit to Austin.

They're of the opinion that Texas is back in a strong position.

 They are wrong again.

Awesome get for the staff.  Let me guess, aggy is saying he wasn't a take for them.  Where is that picture of the 3 OL they had in?  I thought Cruz was one of the 3 along with Kibble.

Going .3334 is not a bad avg in baseball, so there is that for them.

Per IT, OL Brandon Baker and his family have had "multiple, very positive conversations" with the staff since leaving Austin.

They're saying, at minimum, Texas is a co-leader if not the outright leader at this point, with Oregon slipping a bit.

He likes that there is a strong SoCal presence at Texas and says his official visit felt like home.

His Ohio State trip was thought to be very positive, but Georgia isn't real competition with distance being a huge factor.
