2024 Recruiting Board/Thread

247 spoke with WR Micah Hudson yesterday and he told them he was texting with Sark the morning DE Colin Simmons committed to Texas.

He said Simmons got in touch with him after the ceremony, and still talks to Coach Jackson a lot.

They believe he'll commit mid to late fall, but Texas will need to have a phenomenal season and get him back on campus to have a shot.

We won't get them all but I'm not really concerned about recruits on the offensive side of the ball. They will come to play for Sark and his offense. Continuing to attract recruits like Hill last year and Simmons this year on the defensive side is the key in my opinion. If we can, it will set Texas up for a long run of success on and off the field.

I agree not too worried,  but we are likely losing JWhit and Worthy,  so replacing them with a couple more 5 stars would really help keep the ball rolling.

OL, QB, and even TE, it's huge to land the 5 stars. I think WR is the easiest position to get talent in the portal so one of the positions I am least worried about in recruiting.

What is he going to do when Tech sucks and loses 6 games?

They went 8-5 last year, and I don't see them being worse than that.

The first half of their schedule sets up pretty well, and Oregon is beatable in Lubbock imo.

Back end of their schedule has K-State, BYU, TCU, UCF and Texas, so hopefully they trip up a lot there.
