IT saying OL Blake Ivy of League City Clear Springs has his official visit to Texas on June 17th.

He mentioned he may bump that to mid-week of the following week.

Hard to tell how high on the board he is and if we will make a big push.  I get the feeling the only ones in-state that are for sure right now are Cruz and Sainai.

On Hampton, the percentages were quite high despite all of the not-so-good news on him up until this point.

The only comments were that he's "maturing" so the staff is keeping a close eye, and he wants to make a commitment on July 4th.

All I know is that if I'm a top WR in the country, there are 3 coaches I'm looking to play for: Sark, Riley and Leach.  Any other coach/team is distant 4th.  Last I checked Leach doesn't coach at TT....someone should let Hudson know that.

Okay, I realized that after I typed that.  That was my mistake.

If it came down to ne of the two. I think Bridges would be better for Texas than Hudson. Lots of WRS this year. Not as many 6.3 CBS.

Maybe their pitch to him is you'll be the focal point here vs Texas where you're just another piece on the board. I think I read somewhere that he had family that went to Tech. Other than those 2 reasons, it doesn't make sense to me.

But then again, 17 year olds don't always make the best decisions. I think once he sees the product on the field this year, he will choose the good guys.

I think his father played at Tech.

I would guess if he has NFL aspiration that he would go to the school that he thought would best prepare him for that future.  So in the end the fact that his dad played at Tech, and him likely growing up a Tech fan wouldn't be a determining factor, except maybe as a tie breaker.

Hamilton at IT mentioned Texas is slipping here in favor of the "dream school" Clemson.

Question right now is if he will follow through with all of the scheduled official visits.

IT guys said on the offensive line, we will take 4 maybe 5 if the right ones want in. Mainly looking at interior guys, but they feel at least 1 will be a tackle. Uini is slipping from a must have to a 2nd tier guy. He's still visiting, but looking around. May not be a take.
