I'm not one for long posts, but here's a little story -

I'm home today, took a random day off from work and I'm watching the replay of the Women's Championship game and Akana is serving.  My wife who is also home casually says is that Brandyn's daughter?  No idea who he is, so I say I don't know.  So, she gets on her phone and says oh yeah that's him.  Apparently she went to College with Akana's Mom and I had met them before, but has been 15-20 years since I saw them and didn't remember, but it is Hawaii and everybody seems to know everybody there.

I explain to her about Tusili and she says let me look on social media (her and Tusili's mom are friends on Facebook or something).  She said nothing there to tell me where he is going, but she pointed this out. The Family is super athletic and they know the recruiting game.  Mom, Dad, Uncle, Sister and a few other relatives are or were all D1 athletes. Family is extremely important to them, but they will choose what is individually better for them.  Pointed out that Akana (Volleyball player) has a sister playing Volleyball in Hawaii, but she chose to go to nebraska and now is at UT.  Would have been easy to pick Hawaii, but she didn't.

Long story short, I hope Tusili chooses the Horns, but doesn't appear friends and family will be the ultimate deciding factor.  Great Family and if he does choose Texas, I may get a little insider info - LOL - My wife reached out to Akana's Mom to congratulate her and said she would have been more proactive if she has known who they were. Maybe she'll have a nugget or two.

Goes to show that wives don't listen to husband either because I have mentioned the Akana's several times in the last couple of months.

Anyway... Long post over. Hope the Horns get what they want for Christmas!

Awesome story.  I can attest that everyone in Hawaii does know everyone.  It's like a gigantic small town.  As I mentioned, I have a golf buddy who is friends with one of Lefau's relatives and they apparently know everyone.  He says Akana and Lefau will play college ball together.  To his point, he never specifically said at Texas.
