IT followed up later today and said they believe Muhammad will be making a decision BEFORE July 24th.On CB Malik Muhammad of Dallas South Oak Cliff...IT saying they're no longer on commitment watch as he appears to be content letting the month of July play out and he could take another trip to Austin, College Station or even Tuscaloosa.
Alabama is still in the race.

Hmm wonder what changed here? If we get Muhammed I think Hill follows. Then you go all in for Hicks.IT followed up later today and said they believe Muhammad will be making a decision BEFORE July 24th.
Why is that significant?
The 24th is the last day of the dead period in July, at which time recruits can begin visiting campuses again until August rolls around and that entire month is another dead period.
That's why all schools will be competing to get as many recruits on campus as they can on that last weekend of July; it's basically everyone's last recruiting chance of the summer before kids start two-a-days.
Muhammad won't be making any other visits if he's on that timeline.
I don't think Hill's decision is dependent on Muhammed's. I hope we get all 3.Hmm wonder what changed here? If we get Muhammed I think Hill follows. Then you go all in for Hicks.
You think Marion/Sark might be able to do something with this lineup in 23?
2023 WR group (12-14 projected)
Whittington, Jordan RS SR (May be gone)
Neyor, Isaiah RS SR (May be gone)
Worthy, Xavier JR
Hall, Agiye JR
Omeire, Troy RS JR or RS Med SO
Alexis, Jaden RS SO
Cain, Casey RS SO
Thompson, Brenen RS FR
Red, Savion RS FR
Cook, Johntay FR
Hale, Jalen FR
Niblett, Ryan FR
Harrison-Pilot FR
Wilson, Jonah FR
What is considered a breahout season for Neyor?Exactly why I put that. I remember him saying something about this being his last year. Neyor is a toss up. If he breaks out I could see him jumping to the NFL if he has a good draft grade.
For me, I think something north of 900 yards and 9 TDs in a P5 conference would increase his draft grade significantly enough for him to jump. I know that isn't really a breakout definition, but becoming a better route runner and showing he can block will get the scouts attention. What is considered a breahout season for Neyor?
Betting that at least 3 are gone by the '23 season. Omeire was already slow now coming back from back to back seasons of ACLs, doubtful he is around unless he just wants to be a backup or 3rd string guy.
Okay. Fair enough. For me, I think something north of 900 yards and 9 TDs in a P5 conference would increase his draft grade significantly enough for him to jump. I know that isn't really a breakout definition, but becoming a better route runner and showing he can block will get the scouts attention.
I could see that in regards to Omiere, but there is some rumor that Omiere is down below 11 in the 100 in straight line and he will be ready for fall camp. Talk/rumors are cheap so let's see if he makes it through a fall camp first.
A and B are both really good seasons for a #2 or #3 WR. Would I say breakout for a day 1 or day 2 draft grade, no. He would certainly be drafted, but likely in rds 4-6. Would that be enough to leave early? Not for me, but I'm not him. He had 44rec, 848yds, 12tds and 20 ypg at Wyoming against lesser comp with a below to avg QB (Probably should've been targeted more). Put up slightly better numbers at Texas (12 TDs might be hard) as a #2 WR and I would say that is a breakout year considering the level of comp is next level.Okay. Fair enough.
How about if I put some info. out for you to decide if it fits your break out season.
A. 46 catches 741 yds. Ave. Of 16.1 yds. 11 tds
B. 45 catches 848 yds. Ave. Of 18.8 yds. 7 tds
C. 40 catches 746 yds. Ave. Of 18.7 yds. 7 tds
D. 33 catches 560 yds. Ave. Of 17.0 yds. 6 tds.
Any of the above?
Good question.Hey TFloss,
Would the staff considered Deal or Shahanan a take and moving Stroh to tackle or do they like Heard/McVay/someome else at tackle leaving Stroh at IOL?
It didn't sound like anything changed, but rather they heard from a different/better source who confirmed Muhammad was still going to commit pretty soon.Hmm wonder what changed here? If we get Muhammed I think Hill follows. Then you go all in for Hicks.
Much like Taumanupepe above, and others before, not expecting him to be a take.Jamaal Shaw of West Orange Stark. What's the word on him right now? Given the big fish at DB is he a take?
I'm not disagreeing with you on the spot on the roster, but the numbers I gave you were Henry Ruggs III and Jaylen Waddle numbers for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. Both of whom were 1st round picks. So, the NIL deals that these guys get minus the $100k for the team are up to the individuals to get for themselves and numbers for a season are one thing. Neyor putting up 35-45 catches with 700-900 yds. and 7 or more tds in the upcoming season might get him a lot higher draft status than 4th to 6th round.A and B are both really good seasons for a #2 or #3 WR. Would I say breakout for a day 1 or day 2 draft grade, no. He would certainly be drafted, but likely in rds 4-6. Would that be enough to leave early? Not for me, but I'm not him. A solid season at UT and a NIL deal might keep him one more year to develop under Marion/Sark. It's a whole new landscape out there for these kids. Imagine if NIL had been around for Lil'Jordan Humphrey after the good season he had. He tried the draft and was a UDFA. Maybe he just didn't like Herman, but if he got an NIL deal he might've stayed for his Sr. season.
Let's remember, the whole argument is whether he would stick around for the 23 season or if he would leave for the NFL draft and open up a spot for one of the incoming FR to take on that load.
Thanks TFloss.Good question.
The Shanahan development is brand new and hard to say how real it is right now, but my read on that is he wouldn't be a fifth OL in this class.
Heard and McVay would be allowing guys like Stroh and Cojoe to stay inside.
Deal is being recruited exclusively as a DL, even though IT has said for a long time his upside is on the OL.
