We've got tremendous momentum now, but we have one more hurdle to clear...defense. Kwiakowski may be a great defensive coordinator, but so far, he hasn't shown that at Texas.

IMHO, we pay Gary Patterson whatever it takes to get him a title and position on the defensive staff. Co-coordinator/Assistant head coach, whatever. Being a defensive analyst is too temporary. To me, that would show that we're really serious about having a great defense as well.

Get him a NIL deal he can't refuse. Lol
There's another hurdle, the 2022-23 season.  We HAVE to perform...out-perform expectations.  It's one thing to win the recruiting wars.  It's another thing to win on the field.  We've had good classes before and that hasn't translated to success on the field.

We have never had quarterbacks like we do now

No disrespect but any view why these OL have lower rankings and less prominent offers?  I can't judge OL so I have to rely on the coaches, but last year each was highly rated?  Is it a down year for O lineman in TX compared to last year or just harder to sign the top rated guys with the numbers we added last year?  I am assuming most will redshirt.

With that said, welcome aboard Stroh, Cojoe, and Chatman!!!  Can't wait to see you on the 40 acres next year
I hear ya, I expect only Chatman that might  see playing time @ Texas  don't transfer.  Stroh & Cojoe unless injury  or transfers from last year happen. They stay for depth.

I think we're in line for some improvement in conference play, but I'm nervous about the inevitable bloodbath in Week 2 against the Tide that puts a magnifying glass on just how far behind we are to the best of the best.

Conner Williams and Zack Shackelford were 3 star O lineman that proved very capable starters.

If Kyle Flood wants them them there is no reason to assume they have no chance of being eventual starters.
