2023 Recruiting Board/Thread

Unfortunately most kids don't see it that way. It's more like " Man Tx sucks and Bailor is pretty good".
Kids see it a lot of ways. Some kids just don't like dark green and don't want to be stuck in it for four years. Some kids think Waco is a pretty sad place. etc

Does he have the personality and leadership to be the bell cow of the 2023 class?  It will be interesting to watch

or will it be Arch Manning?  ?
That role is usually your QB in the class. This is why QBs often commit early.

This kid is the ONLY member of the class, so I suppose he'll have to serve the role for a time.

Nothing new about lying to recruits about who is going to other schools. They have social media too. Not sure why it's a big deal, we seem to have found our QB for the next year anyway right? We're not desparate.

You are much more plugged in that I am Sir so I will ask you and any of the other knowledgeable posters. Which one between Ewers or Arch generates the most buzz and has the greatest potential impact on the program? Which is the better prospect?

That my friend, is a great question.

Ewers – has played against high standard competition at Texas 6A school and with good coaching. He's a gunslinger, not much of a runner. So pass plays will live and die by his arm. A bit indecisive, if indeed he wants to transfer in such a short time with OSU. That might alarm me.

Arch – maybe not the gunslinger that Ewers is, but a very good passer nonetheless. A lot of people question the competition he faces down there in a private league. But he has the Manning pedigree and is extremely knowledgeable of both the position and the game. He grew up with football.

Arch would generate the most buzz due to ESPN's love affair with the Manning family and all things SEC.

I would take either. Although I like Manning's dual threat capabilities. One thing I noticed, when Manning tries to throw with touch, the ball comes out of his hand a little weird. It get's there but it flutters. His passes into the flats and outs are frozen ropes. Those balls look like Troy Aikman threw them.

Man we need Anthony Hill. He knows difference between go get em & sic em! Watching Ryan/LoneStar
