Why do you keep thinking  it closes on Dec 18 instead of Jan 18? The thread title even says “Closes January 18th”

This was the first time I asked this.  Someone mentioned that players had to declare for the portal by a certain date, but that it would stay open for them to chose a school until 18 January.  I have no idea so that's why I asked.

That was me that had the date confused. In my defense it was after a night of beer/whiskey watching the Horns win the volleyball title so...... ?

To clarify, it is open for players to enter until Jan 18th. They can choose a school at any point.

There is another period in the spring that will allow players to enter as well.

Speaking of transfers, I have to admit that I'm kind of shocked that Max Marrill and/or Sawyer Goram-Welch have not entered the portal.  Good on them for staying, but I just don't see them getting onto the field with all the other talent on the OL.  Maybe SGW will convert back to the DL where he started.
