Why don’t y’all want Harris? Dude is a stud. 

Character is as important as talent.  I’d love to have him Bc if his talent but his character would be trouble for our locker room.

If they are affected by what's written or said on message boards, they need to find a new career. They won't last a week in the NFL. 

You're sure right about the pros, but they're not in the NFL. It's easy to forget that some of these kids are barely out of high school. They're not pros yet and may never be. (Well, the NIL is pretty close)

They've worked hard to get where they are and we have no idea what's going on in their lives outside of football. We sit back in our recliners and when they don't perform to our expectations, we sometimes vent our frustration with personal criticism. That's understandable. 

But if a player is under performing, he knows it and the coaches know it and that should be handled in the locker room, IMO. There's no benefit in airing it out on a public forum.

Go after the coaches, they're fair game and they expect it, but I think we should go easy on the kids, publicly at least. 

JMHO, certainly not directed at anyone on this board. Just asking that we consider the young men's point of view before we post.

Harris was one in the group who were smoking a joint in the locker room before a game a couple weeks back. He was suspended.

I think I might need a joint if I had to be in Jimbo's locker room, and I haven't had one in 50 years.

I get frustrated with losses, but at the end of the day, they’re kids.

Reading between the lines I'd guess it has something to do with fans or media responses to the rumors he is headed west. Personally I really like him and would rather he not leave but if he does, best of luck and next up. Lincoln doesn't care about defense so I think he's got a better chance of making the CFP at Texas than he would at USC. Then again, I'm a Burnt Orange Kool-Aid drinking homer.?

I get what you’re saying, but it’s a lost cause.  There are even fans from rival teams who disguise themselves and join forums to cause destruction.  Negativity from the fan-base is a part of playing power-5 college football.  It’s not exclusive to UT.  The players just need to learn how to respond to social media.  I’m rather certain the coaches discuss this with the team.

I’ll add this - a few years ago we used to say that “these are amateurs” playing for the love of the game and their universities…. and therefore, should not be called out by name.  You know, the old Gundy “I’m a man” thing…. Well, NIL has kind of eliminated that as well.

Yes, sir, I agree about the NIL changing things, but what hasn't changed is that they're mostly still kids and are impressionable.

He also posted on instagram speeding around a parking garage after one of A&Ms losses. 

The off the field decision making is really going to hold him back unfortunately.

The portal rules are a joke.  NCAA won't do a damn thing about it and Sanders knows it.  With that said, not sure what the rules are concerning a grad transfer. He might be allowed to contact them or maybe someone from the FCS.
