Watts is trending Texas and could be wrapped up in a week or so. Yes, the staff is all over him. 2-3 more that we're on who will likely come and end up starting next year.
With Calzada having surgery & transferring, will Nix (or any other QB from the portal) play in the aggy bowl game if they land him? If not, who will?
No. It'll be the walk-on Blake Bost from PNG. He appeared in a couple games this year in garbage time or to hand off a few plays after Calzada was hurt.
Hopefully Stewart will wait until after this game tp sign, unless he signs with Texas. If you think the aggy offense was bad with Calzada, imagine what it will be like with a walk-on QB!
Even if he comes he won't be eligible for the bowl game. He wasn't enrolled in school for the semester. Bost will start the Bowl. Apparently he beat out Eli Stowers bad enough that Jimbo made Stowers move to TE... lol surprised Stowers didn't transfer.
He also lost to Miss State, managed to beat Colorado by three. By Jimbo's own standards (this should be the year), the season was a huge disappointment and happened when Bama and LSU were having a down year. Even with that window of opportunity, they crapped their pants and finished the same place they always finish.
