I posted this note in the 2023 thread, but I didn't want anyone to miss it.

OrangeBloods spoke to the father of the S Bryan Allen, Jr. from Aledo and he said it would be difficult for Alabama to flip him due to the late offer and the family's solid relationship with Coach Gideon.

Bryan and his little brother, Jaden, who was just offered by UT will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend, and then they'll head to Austin on June 10th.

247 reporting a new name to remember is CB Avyonne Jones of Southlake Carroll, who recently de-committed from Oklahoma State.

He has been speaking with Coach Gideon a lot recently and could be a take at safety too.

According to 247, Jones could be in Austin this weekend to meet the Texas coaches.

IT saying S Bryce Anderson  of Beaumont West Brook has canceled his LSU official for this week.

Anderson actually followed through with his visit today, per several sites.

IT reporting DT Bishop Thomas from Orlando, FL will be in Austin this weekend for an official.

He has a Texas offer.

Texas is "very much in the hunt to win this recruitment", per IT.

Thomas moved to Orlando from New Orleans prior to the 2020 season, and the UT coaches have done a good job behind the scenes here.

Texas freshman DE Barryn Sorrell, also from New Orleans, has been helping on this one as well as the two chatted recently and Thomas liked what he heard.

That's only what Allen's father told them.

He's saying all the right things publicly before the family meets Saban.

Luckily Fong isn't as dialed in or trustworthy as he used to be.

Thomas was in Tallahassee yesterday, so that was probably a reason for it.

Fun fact on Sexton is that his father is originally from Pampa (Texas Panhandle) and left the state to go play small college football in Oklahoma, where he eventually settled down.

Sexton admitted he grew up a Longhorns fan, and he'd get teased in school because he'd be the only kid wearing burnt orange.

May be something to watch here if you want to put your recruiting detective pants on.

The first guy (Talley) is a Penn State QB commitment, and the second guy (Nwankpa) is a highly-recruited safety out of Iowa who is thought to be headed to Ohio State.

Talley saying "spell it out" could be a troll reference to tOSU fans always saying O-H-I-O, and Nwankpa saying "down south" means the QB commitment is from Texas.

I don't think it's malicious or anything, it's just personal on a football level for Saban.

He appears to love sticking it to former assistants in any way he can.

I would seriously doubt that Saban would let personal feelings influence his recruiting. In fact, he doesn't appear to have any personal feelings at all. Maybe they like the same players for the same reason...they're good.

OL Kelvin Banks (Humble Summer Creek) and OL Kam Dewberry (Humble Atascocita) are taking their LSU officials this weekend.

So now its not a Saban grudge thing?

I felt you were originally correct because the country is filled with 4 stars that Saban isn't going after. He usually recruits all over the country. This year, he's focused on Texas.
