Horns get a 2-out RBI single from Stehly to go up 1-0

Stehly steals 2B.  Grounder from Todd to 3B, Stehly hesitates in front of the 3B as he fields the ball, his throw to 1B pulls 1B up the line, and Todd knocks the ball from his mitt on the attempted tag.  Ball gets away and Stehly scores

Horns up 2-0 thru 1 complete

The hesitation by Stehly did seem to distract the 3b. Questionable yet savvy manuever.

Well I quit watching the game and we scored more runs, the problem was ECU scored even more. ?

How many times has this coaching staff made decisions we have questioned? I've stated this, do we have the right coach/coaches for baseball?

Yes, yes we do. 

This year hasn't been what we've wanted but we are 2 wins from Omaha.

Hard to question him bringing in Stevens as the reliever last night - and it might have worked too had Hodo not assisted a fly out over the fence. Surprised to see Nixon but at that point we are already down a handful of runs and it may have been a move to preserve the favored arms.

Weird slide into 2nd, but was safe. Should have challenged and would be 3-0 right now. Frustrating.

No doubt, I thought he was safe live. Not sure what he thought happened (a walk) but he did not expect the throw to be coming for some reason.

Kennedy single thru the right side, and ECU goes to the pen

Fly out to RCF puts runners on the corners, but Texas strands them.
