Good get for Texas, but I now hope the kid fully buys in to the process given that he will need some time to marinate before he pushes for PT. Lots of upside and very athletic.
Daniel I see that as the hope for every kid we ever get. Our biggest disappointments usually come because the kid gets here and finds out he isnt an automatic star like he is used to being and just doesnt put in the work. I think this was some of Christmas-Giles's problem. My wish for all our kids is that they recognize that the coaches are needed to help them get to where they need to go ....

By the way.....does this mean we can all ease away from the ledge and put down the gas pipe? I never heard so much moaning and groaning over a very good class in my life. Could it have been better?....sure it could, but it could have been a lot worse too. Fact is we will not know how good or bad this class is for 2 years. From what I have seen in the last 2 classes, this staff has done a damned good job of evaluation so far. Who did we think was a good get that didnt work out? It seems to me ( just from what I hear as we still dont know for sure) that for the first time in a looong time, the kids that we redshirted are going to be a big help.....you know....like it is supposed to work.

I think the train is on the right track and is starting to roll.

IMO and after watching Whittington play, I'm convinced our very good class became an outstanding class.  We actually have two supermen in this class in Jake Smith and Jordan Whittington.

Be happy my friends, the Horns are on the verge of kicking some ass.

And maybe some more happiness is still to come.  Shhhh!

I refuse to stop moaning and groaning from the ledge.        :D

Well, okay, we'll miss you...but could I have first dibs on your boat, your four wheeler, your Longhorn gear and your wife ;) ...wait, never mind on the last one, my wife said I couldn't even handle the one I've had for the last 50 years.

P.s. Could you send me a picture of your boat?

I've always said this, even though it is so obvious.  The difference in our skill players (on both sides of the ball) being good or great lays solely on our linemen's abilities.  In recruiting I always watch the hudl's of high school linemen.  In order for us to be a Bama we have to get the best in the state and, preferably, the best in the country.

Our season next year and Ehlinger's chance at the Heisman rests entirely on the performance of our lines.  Entirely.

So we have about a month before this class wraps up and.... 3 or 4 spots left?

Can anyone give me some names to look for with regards to targets to wrap this class up?

Any interior OL?

There is a very large OL out of Indiana with a UT offer, Dawand Jones, who seems to list UT, Florida, USC and tOSU as his favorites. I don't know if he is projected to tackle or inside.

Just remember what Horace Greely once said.  :)
