2019 Recruiting Board/Thread

I'm trying to like this recruitment. I just don't think we'll win, even if we win here.
I get that Shepherd has had some drama in his recruitment, but they fact is he never went to one aggy game this year and hasn't done the whole commit/decommit thing.  If he comes in focused and take to a few offseasons he has the talent/skill to be a top notch OL.

Oregon just had a LB decommit. JUCO LB Caleb Johnson is scheduled to visit Oregon this weekend.

I agree I read they haven’t even offered him yet things like usually don’t work out in ya favor
agree, however, apparently he and Marcus Major(same hs and Ou commit) are really good friends and they would be able to play together at Ou. thats my biggest concern if they offer

how much drama is there really? he made a couple of, what some consider questionable tweets but thats it. he never said or did much himself that i remember. just bc someone like EJ or a trainer said he will be at X city tomorrow and he doesnt show up, to me thats not JS creating drama.

I was told today that if UT has its way, we'll take 3 RBs in this class. So the noise about Stevenson is legit and he's now going to visit.

I was told that we'd take Cain, Stevenson and our own Darrian Brown in this class. As is, we have a good chance of being left with one RB next year and we need options.
love it. Ingram and any of these 3 are better than anyone else on the roster right now. i really liked Young, love the power he can bring but you just cant lose to ball the way he has.

Well that's not a good sign. So we'd be looking at the following for our LB depth, assuming Roach ends up on the line:

SR: Anthony McCulloch

SO: Joseph Ossai, Demarvion Overshown

RS-FR: Ayodele Adeoye, Byron Vaughns

FR: De'Gabriel Floyd, David Gbenda, Marcus Tillman Jr

I've gotta say, that doesn't inspire confidence.

Well, he is. Thats the plan I heard today. Its an in-home and I think I heard that TH was going in.

I'm not going to panic. Best to let this happen and then just say "you want to jump into the middle of a rebuild that will probably have to start over again next year?"

Retaining Helton, IMO, was not a good move. That cloud is still hanging over his head. Nothing's really changed except that it won't happen this year.

I'm not understanding the logic and excuse my French here but what kind of Purina puppy chow bullshit is that for to fire all the coaching staff EXCEPT the head coach. Seriously? His primary recruiter you let go and you retain the head coach. I don't understand this head scratcher at all. .If I was Herman I'll be going all in up in that open field recruitment like it's nobody's business

Bru is now OVing to USC the weekend before NSD1.  Don't like how this one is heading.  Herman needs to do his in-home right after it.
They want the last word before the dead period starts. I’m not even sure Texas can go in-home by the time that wraps up.

I’m borrowing that saying for future usage.

A lineup of McCulloch, Ossai, Ayodele and Floyd would not bother me. Overshown and Vaughn for depth. Shirt Tillman. Gbenda, have to see.

There's the grad transfer market, too.

IMO, Floyd could be a starter next year.

Showtime, slingin' lingo. Love it. Where in the name of Jason Barron did you get the puppy chow line? That was gold.

agree, we need a upperclassman. Johnson would start here day 1 at Rover and Floyd/McCulloch/Ossai would be other 3. i like Ayodele but vs Lsu, not as much vc spread. Overshown and Vaughn need a year to play in the right spots b4 being trusted.

Don't sleep on Byron Vaughns

Bru McCoy seems less likely to me now than ever with his offical visit pushed to Dec 14th while they attempt to replace an entire staff that was fired outside of a coach on the hot seat.  Even considering them with this amount of turmoil has to have everyone thinking he stays home.

He'll be a nice prize if Herman can pull it off.

Here's my advice to Tom Herman. Talk shotime with you to visit Bru and let's get this thing shut down. Boom!
