I think he's sees the potential. He's already good, but will need some work at the next level. A likely RS candidate. But he's an athletic dancing bear who I hear is pretty impressive on a basketball court as well. He's got some things you can't coach.superk on TFB says he is legit plus
Our ceiling is limited until we start recruiting elite DL. We continue to struggle with that. It's not pretty. We're at 20 now, with a likely number of 26-27 to end with.
We're almost full at WR, but will add Bru McCoy at some point. We'll take Higgins or Wilson if they dialed us up.
More work to be done at OL, but I'm afraid the selections are limited. Hookfin is a great find by staff. I think next year's class will be OL heavy and this year's class could possibly end with Hookfin.
More work to be done on the DL. We need a quality big body in the class. I am spooked by aggy's abandonment of Stripling recruitment. Why? Are they full at the position? I just looked. Aggy has three DTs in their class right now.
I'd also keep calling Leal because ya just never know.
At LB if this class is a success to me simply because it includes DeGabriel Floyd. The kid is special. Speed, violence, athleticism in one package. I expect another LB in this class, probably from the JUCO ranks somewhere.
IMO, we need another CB in this class.
We also need another RB, hopefully we'll stay in the Trey Sanders sweepstakes and somehow pull off the upset. Otherwise, give me Newton's Barlow over Katy's Glass and call me snakebit.
Thoughts?
I mean, other than Leal it's an overall pretty down year for DL.Our ceiling is limited until we start recruiting elite DL. We continue to struggle with that. It's not pretty.
Cain when Emery goes to LSU.We're at 20 now, with a likely number of 26-27 to end with.

Either Cain or Sanders will be fine with me at RB. Or as a sleeper pick Glass. We're at 20 now, with a likely number of 26-27 to end with.

Some have said Stripling's senior film has been kind of mehEither Cain or Sanders will be fine with me at RB. Or as a sleeper pick Glass.
McCoy .( Loves me some McCoy) Higgins? If he wants in well you don't want to say no to him
Herman really needs to whoop booty in OL and DL next year. Unless something really happens out of nowhere. I'm beginning to wonder why the staff hadn't gone into a push for Stripling. I'm wondering about that.
Yeah I heard something about that too. I would love to take a look at itSome have said Stripling's senior film has been kind of meh
Agreed, he needs 2 years(at +1) for both body and technique. Body, most wt, 275 just isn’t enough and technique. I have read he hasn’t played football for a long time, footwork and hand placments mostly. He is worthy of and offer and press until nsd. Boy can he move, and with this O, that’s huge!I think he's sees the potential. He's already good, but will need some work at the next level. A likely RS candidate. Wasnt that kind of the same assessment for JP Urquidez? I dont mean that in a bad way. I remember reading he was very athletic and could move coming out of Cove, but had problems keeping weight on. Some kids just take a while to get the right strength. Sign and stash until ready. Hopefully JP is finally ready to compete next year.Agreed, he needs 2 years(at +1) for both body and technique. I don’t remember JP being very athletic on tape. I was very down on him as a prospect.Wasnt that kind of the same assessment for JP Urquidez? I dont mean that in a bad way. That’d be a bit of a curveball from what I heard recently. He is scheduled to OV there after Texas, so that will be something to monitor.Just read that Fong thinks Cain goes to Penn St.
I personally never his tape so I dont have a great assessment. I do know he didnt look all that impressive in the Orange-White game last spring. I just remember reading some other write-ups on him and one of the biggest knocks on him was his ability to put good weight on to be competitive at a D1 level.I don’t remember JP being very athletic on tape. Enough that I think he could seriously end up at UT. We're walking a tight rope right now, hoping that certain things fall into place. So far, so good. If we're still at the top at the end of his visits, it would be time to get the calculator out.You must know something with Bru?!?!h34r:
