I personally would not believe any of it unless I heard the staff say it.
That’s fine. It’s not something that you will ever hear them publicly say, but it’s common for staffs to feel that way when it comes to prospects.

Agree, you don't often have a whole staff agree on a prospect. I'm surprised this is a rumor or not followed with "doesn't this happen often?"

With limited numbers, every spot on the roster means something. Staff is trying to get to the point where there are no ( insert the names you know here ) players not carrying their weight on the roster.

I think this all started on the TCU site where there was also birth given to the excuse of "Patterson told him to look around."

@Daniel Seahorn quick question: does the name Kamden Perry move the needle? He's a WR for Longview. Kid is putting up numbers. Heard of him? Thoughts?
To me the Longview kids rarely pan out in college.  Maybe I’ve missed some that played at the smaller college level, but thereve been very few that I remember having good to great college careers, especially in the fbs level.

This is true, when Texas won consistently. That hasn’t happened yet. This is one season and Texas still has to finish. Big-time recruits like McCoy and Sanders are still going to be tough to pry away. It’s possible, but it’s not set in stone by any means.
Agreed. It will probably take multiple good seasons to reverse the recent trend.

Sound like Sanders family really wants him to stay close to home and it might be too much to overcome. Bama seems to be the pick most think at this point.

Roach CB'd Sanders to Bama... I think we all knew that was coming and where he ultimately ended up. But Texas at least made it interesting! I guess it's not over till it's over tho

It's gonna be very interesting with Cain visiting how much of this recruitment will. Texas go all in or will have to see what happens from here on out. Stranger things have happened
