i would hope that BC would not step on this kids moment in the light.  so the fact that we haven't seen one means that UT staff can keep it quiet and respect the kids moment.
Agreed. When BC usually puts out his "shh" emoji, there's a lot of "irons in the fire", so to speak. With this one, it'd be pretty obvious. I wouldn't read much into the lack of a BC tweet.

I’d like to have him but I would sure like LJ to come back.

Colin, LJ, Devin, Eagles, Woodard, John Burt, Josh Moore, Jake Smith, Washington, Whittington, Pouncey..and all those good TE’s

I don’t have the roster in front of me. Might have missed someone. I can’t imagine a more loaded Receiver core. Sammy established now. It’s about to get ugly in a beautiful kinda way
This. Bru has to be willing to play moderate to limited role next year if LJH comes back knowing the entire corps rolls over the following year. I could see Jake Smith getting reps on 3rd down out of the backfield if he can block or on jet sweeps. This team is loaded on O. If it can get the front 5 on D replaced I'm feeling really good. Who would have ever thought someone would type that last statement.

It sounds like it's going to be USC. Bru has a different definition of horrible coachthan me. He says that USC is not going to hire a horrible coach and I believe there is proof that they will and Clay Helton is the proof.

“I’m going to school to get a degree. Whatever coach is there, I’m going to work my butt off. I don’t care who’s coaching me necessarily. Unless he’s some horrible coach, but USC’s not going to hire no off-the-street coach that everyone’s going to hate. It’s USC,” McCoy said.

It has probably been USC all a long....

SSSssshhhhhh......it!

Yeah Bru, your logic isn't squaring up. USC wouldn't have to hire anyone if they were very good at hiring. Clay Helton is a great guy, just not a great head coach. But USC sure thought he was.

At what point does Bru realize he spent his college experience by driving five miles down the road to a place that spent his career in rebuilding/hiring mode?

Best of luck to him anyway.

Bru may be a great player, and we would love to have had him, but we will be great without him. We got some ballers.

Wish him well.

This coupled with a quote posted on TFB (reading between the lines) leads me to believe it is USC and always has been.

That is what every recruit who committed to Texas since 2010 has done.... We've been rebuilding for a decade

Maybe that has changed. We’ll see. If it has we should have some great classes. The ones we’ve had haven’t been bad just not deep enough or coached up.   But you are correct.

That Bru article was from Jan 1st & he isn't saying USC is the school he's picking.

This is a strange prediction.

Bru McCoy: 5-Star Wide Receiver

8 OF 15

High School, Hometown: Mater Dei School, Santa Ana, Calfornia

If you're looking at the Southern Cal commitment list with a "how did this happen?" look on your face, just wait until February 6.

Actually, you may just need to wait until Sunday.

The Trojans could add a slew of commitments in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, and a few of those would help replenish a stable of wide receivers to go along with Amon-Ra St. Brown, Michael Pittman Jr. and Tyler Vaughns.

As already mentioned, the battle for Kyle Ford's signature could go either way between Washington and USC. It would not be a surprise if the Trojans were the choice on Saturday. What would be a shocker, however, is if Bru McCoy picked anybody other than USC.

Helton and Co. have a pipeline to Mater Dei, where quarterback J.T. Daniels and St. Brown both played. The latest dynamic playmaker to come out of that powerhouse is McCoy, who can play a number of positions but looks like he'll start his career on the offensive side of the ball.

Though Texas is right in the mix and has done a good job recruiting him, McCoy looks earmarked for USC. His commitment will provide a monumental boost to a class that sputtered a bit in the early signing period.

New offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury will help Helton add some very nice pieces down the stretch, and McCoy will wind up being a puzzle piece around which to build. Even with a loaded receiving corps, he's good enough to break into the rotation right away.

Prediction: Texas
