I know it is very early but this is a kid that played Varsity as an 8th grader and is already getting interest from people. I just wanted to put his film up for you guys to see it.

If he plays varsity as an 8th grader does he lose a year of eligibility in HS?

He is not from Tx so it doesn't hurt him. Many other states let you play varsity as an 8th grader.
