So Eric Nahlin said the 10th coach will be given the title co-oc and will be responsible for calling plays. Beck will focus more on recruiting. May not be announced this week. Will be someone That is not one of Herman’s guys.
Everything else besides, Beck seems to be a pretty good recruiter. I'm happy to keep him as a QB coach + recruiting guy.
I'd be huge if we could get Dodge in some way or form without him being the 10th coach. I just wonder if he would take the job, moving from HC of one of the powerhouse highschools to not being a coach at all.
I would like the 10th coach to be an offensive mastermind with a non-Texas footprint, such as Cali or FL. I guess Helfrich would check those boxes, but haven't heard anything in the last couple of days and don't think it'll happen. But given the CDC hire was done without much noise, anything is possible tbh.
Honestly.. At this point If Texas misses out on Waddle /Keys, which that's gonna be the case, imo, they may need to take him,
IMO Waddle > Moore > Keys, don't know how the staff feels about Waddle right now, but Moore is a take. We need 1 more WR for the slot in this cycle.
Here are the 3 grad transfers that have started following Warehime or Warehime following them.
Calvin Anderson (Rice)
Casey Tucker (Stanford)
Antonio Riles JR (Florida)
As I said, I'd like to take us 2 more OL guys, one for LT (preferably a grad transfer) and one for LG/RG (If Angilau takes his mission trip than a JUCO guy might be the better option?). Regardless, I'll take a Stanford guy any time. Tucker started 2x at LT and 6x at RT in 2016 but was hurt, and was the starting RT in 2015 per

Riles has seen most of his playing time at RG in 2015, but was side lined in 2016 due to injuries as well.
