2018 Recruiting Board/Thread

As things sit now, the plan is for Tatum to visit this upcoming weekend. If he makes it in and can have a sit down with the staff it will obviously go a long way.

That said, I'm sure there is going to be some pressure from OU to not let that visit happen. If the visit gets canceled for whatever reason then the writing is on the wall.

Im surprised he committed to Texas in the first place. I thought he was an OU lean for a long while

I read in Longhorn Sports Haven that Herman is applying pressure for early commits. He wants to go back to the MB days of filling up the class early. Some of the big names left are wanting to take their time and see results first. The article compared it too a poker game and said Herman is try to force them to fold. I think the article was written by helmetboy

Interesting.  Honestly, I liked Charlie Strong's approach to recruiting.  Get a chance to see the senior tape of the high rated JR's to see if they plateaued, regressed or improved. You also get a chance to see unknown guys reach their potential and still have spots left and can offer late.

With the "new" early signing period, I'm sure most coaches will be pushing recruits to sign early. (December)

HelmetBoy is a long time IT guy, so I'm sure that's where that group got it from.

Officially put my flip pick in for Tatum to Oklahoma. He's hasn't been in the boat long, but this one will sting awhile. Tatum's a stud.

I read on another site that Anthony Cook might commit this summer but he's going to hold off til the Army all American game. I wonder if that's a good thing or a bad thing for Texas?

DL is the only position I'm slightly worried about. We needed at least 1 of Tatum/Wright/Brown and as of now it looks like we go 0-3. Hope we can get Perkins down and Adeoye can help. 2019 looks good in-state for DL, we absolutely have to lock that position down next year.

Hearing that an announcement on the flip is expected later this afternoon.
IDMAS. You either jump on the train and get to hoist a crystal ball in a few years or you will let outside influence get in the way and you will get to watch RevolUTion18 hoist the trophy as you sit in your pool of tears of regret.

Didn't Tatum just commit a couple of weeks ago?  What was the point of that if he's just gonna flip so soon?  17 year old's I tell ya what...smh
