Read on other sites/twitter that we may be getting some good news today? Don't know if it's '18 or '19 though. 

I tend to take your posts seriously when I see something like this. I will call my contact to see whats up.

I CAN say that I recently heard that Wren is chomping at the bit and will commit, if offered. So that might be whats up.

Either way, I'll see if Kate is in the dressing room.

Okay, Orlando is apparently attending Wren's game this week. No offer was extended because Orlando wanted to see Wren in person. So Orlando may very well extend that offer after Wren's game. And if he does, Wren will commit.

So I asked what the chances are that Orlando leaves without extending the offer? Interesting question, he said. Orlando really wants to see Wren on defense and Wren's coach likely will not do that, even for Orlando.

I'll go ahead and send Kate out because I think Orlando will like what he sees.

Wren and his Mesquite Horn team mates will take on Mesquite High at Mesquite Memorial tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m.

On another note and one that had my friend laughing. Apparently, Epps has been playing some defense. He says he's not sure we didn't just recruit ourselves a stud on that side of the ball.

Also, J. Crawford might not be a Sooner commit much longer. And no, that does not mean anything with regard to Texas. I'll leave it at that.

– Jaylen Waddle: Texas top WR target, Jaylen Waddle let me know last night that he will visit Alabama this upcoming weekend. More and more it’s looking like Alabama is the biggest threat to Texas.

I’m told Florida State isn’t nearly as big of a threat as they may have once appeared. I’m also told that TAMU isn’t likely to land Waddle. I continue to hear that Alabama along with Oregon are spots to keep an eye on. – (Super K)

– Joshua Landry: With the departure of Chris Daniels, Texas may need to bump their high school DT numbers up a bit. A guy whose name you’ve heard before is Lamar’s (Houston), Joshua Landry. Will Baizer had a chance to see Landry live in action last week at the same game where coach Herman and some his staff attended. Baizer came away impressed.

We will have his notes on Landry up tomorrow. But for now, I want to note that there had long been talk that Landry, a Baylor commit, had some issues in the classroom, I am told that is not the case. As a policy, we do not address players’ academic issues but in this rare case I will just to say that it does appear Landry is on his way to qualifying.

I took a look at defensive clips for Epps. I was pleasantly surprised with what he has shown thus far on the edge. If he keeps that up he might have a bright future terrorizing offenses.

Guarantee Anthony Cook liked what he saw last night once again from UT defense. Keep this up and he is a shoe in. I agree with Super K, he just needs a reason to stay home. And Malik and company are giving him just that.

We need immediate impact guys at OT if it's JUCO or grad transfer or whatever for this class.

Defensive recruits have to be loving what they're seeing.
