2017 Recruiting Thread Part 1

He's 6'6... And can easily add 30-40 lbs on that frame. You don't find guys that are that tall and can move like he can. All HS kids look small, get him in the weight room and he can transform his body.

I'm with this. Make sure you make the decision for the right reason. I'm willing to bet he won't make a final decision until after the season and he has done some soul searching.

I'm just not with people suddenly trying to devalue him because he backed of his commitment.[/quote

---

If he is not fully committed to Texas then he is of no value to Texas. We should move on. If we strike out with other targets and he still wants to come in the end then maybe. Maybe not.

Bear, thats BS. Malik told us no about 20+ times before he said yes. Lots of kids do this.

Again, he's a kid trying to find his way. You let him do that. And when/if he does come, he's here for the right reasons and put some thought into the process.

I agree that his heart needs to be in it. But honestly, remembering my own experience, I really didn't know what I wanted to do or where I wanted to go at this stage in my HS career. All I knew is every coach I spoke with made me want to commit on the spot. LOL

Kids who commit and then back out rarely come back.

All I'm saying is he should not be our total focus at the position.

I'm surprised on how many people are ready to move on from a great talent just because he changed his mind. 17 year olds do that. Charlie has proven he has an eye for talent and a pretty good judge of character. If he's pursuing Tennison, I trust him.

Just a head's up that our Mike Roach is doing CB predictions now.

Hopefully their is a Mike Roach CB pick for T. Graham to Texas coming soon ( fingers crossed ).

As Daniel tweeted Carson on his way to Austin
I'm going to assume his high school team had a morning practice and maybe they have a mid-day evening practice tomorrow or is it normal for recruits to miss a practice for a college visit?? Sorry, not familiar with how that works.

NM I think he is headed to the UIL to sign the waiver claim for his eligibility this year, let's hope he makes a stop by to see Strong, Traylor, and company.
