2017 Recruiting Thread Part 1

Holland says we are supposed to get a visit from a player currently committed to another school -- in the next week or two.

Possibly related to the above

"Devodrick Johnson: Prior to his commitment to Texas A&M, 2017 LB, Devodrick Johnson (Dallas, TX) was beginning to hear from Texas quite a bit. Johnson does not yet hold a Texas offer and it’s safe to assume that had the staff extended an offer to him prior to his recent visit to Texas A&M, he would have held off on making that commitment. I’m told that despite his commitment, Texas has not slowed their pursuit of Johnson. I am also told that Johnson is listening. I don’t think this one is over quite yet. – (Super K)

Maybe Grayson Reed or Creed Humphrey's mothers didn't like the Jim Turner deal??
Shaggy posters saying Creed removed all his aggy stuff from his twitter.

Good afternoon Longhorn fans,

First time caller here, long time listener.  Watching y'all work the sources magic during the, well continual, 2016 recruiting campaign was fascinating.  Helped that it turned out so well for UT of course.  It's certainly a transition to the recruitment process under Coach Strong; don't get overtly concerned early in the time period and put trust and faith that the staff's approach, message, and character will win out in the end.  Things appear to be turning around, with wins this year, there will be greater things in the future.  Will continue to support and enjoy the 2017 recruitment as well as all the discussions that will occur during the upcoming season.  Much appreciation for all the hard work and information provided by HORNSPORTS staff and all you loyal Longhorns on this site.

Regards,

John, 1983 BSME, Firefighter and Aerospace Engineer
