Some of you are way more knowledgeable than I am on Gilbert's offense, but from what I've seen he doesn't use the TE very much and this kid has been on flip watch almost since he commited. I don't see him as a big loss given the nature of the offense. I think a hybrid type like Humphries is a better option. Also, the blocking from the TE can be overcomed with scheme and spacing. Is this kid enough of a factor that the offense will be adjusted to fit him in or are y'all in agreement to let this kid go? Maybe I'm missing something...

The system is capable of using guys like Tennison if they possess them. Unfortunately right Texas has nothing like Tennison on their roster to be able to showcase how he will be used.

I know it isn't the same system, but Jace Amaro caught plenty of passes and was used a ton out at Tech. They don't have guys like that often, but they showed they can incorporate him into the scheme.

I'm not sure what the staff's plans are if Tennison bolts, but they are definitely are aware and are working to try to keep him in the fold.

Fowler is the only straggler at this point. I haven't been hearing great things on that front, but I am hoping he proves them wrong.

First time poster long time stalker.

Just want to thank you guys for all the info on this forum. As a longhorns fan born and bred in Australia it's pretty much impossible to get any info on any recruiting or behind the scenes action.

I have never refreshed my phone more times then this years signing day and my work day was completely ruined(enhanced) by all the posts here.

I'm going to be in Austin for the UT v TCU game and hoping to get tickets. Can't wait for this season to begin!!

Great first post, noonan. I live in Austin and I'd be glad to buy you lunch or something while you're in town.
