LOL.  From what I've heard Mom is a savvy individual and not like the typical Mom that melts in Charlie's presence.  Going to be interesting.
if that is true, its kind of odd how she would be ok with this "rumored FSU handler" hanging around her son.

I did find that rather unusual.  Not the type of Family that usually employs the handler tactic.  Any sighting or confirmation of this handler?

Tea leaves --

From when he committed, Fowler's twitter self-described him as "Student athlete-LSU"

Now it says "student athlete"

We need somebody to 'shop a burnt orange sweater on Sally and do up Billy's in aggy maroon.

If aggy loses anymore recruits, here's Sumlin's response:

Besides Hudson, you have to wonder if this story is reaching Ms. Martin too

One thing twitter loves is something to be outraged about

Today, it seems to all be aimed at Baylor

Any chance Ms. Hudson is on the twitter?

I dont like the topic  (but have to admit I secretly do like the timing)

Early recruiting vs Late recruiting:

I think we have all voiced our opinion on both sides of the early vs late recruiting. I am really not for or against either way. Different coaches have different methods of getting to the end results.

Mack would lock his class up very early. He wouldn't want a recruit to commit until he was ready and expected them to not keep taking visits after they commit. The elite players he would give them as much time as possible or pretty much right up to signing day. The next level prospect, he would for lack of a better word a deadline. If the kid didn't commit by the deadline, Mack would start looking at other players at that position that wanted to be Longhorns. This would usually net a kid that would run through a brick wall for the University of Texas.....ie Colt McCoy......how did that work out for us? :) There are alot of kids that fit in this group that went on to be all conference and play in the NFL. I admit I would be mad when a kid wouldn't pick out hat at one of these all star games, but our class was pretty much locked up by these all star games. What concerns me a little about late recruiting is we do or we think we have all these silent commitments, but come Wednesday, if some of these 17-18 year old kids change their minds it is to late to go get the kid that wants to be a Longhorn. Those kids go to some other team that we play and alot of times can be a pain in our butt, because we didn't offer them and Texas Tech did and they want to show Texas that they made a mistake. Recruiting has changed so much even in the last few years, that the right answer to early vs late in probably somewhere in between. Schools are paying these coaches so much money now, that teams bring in young guys to run high flying offenses and have to win or be competitive pretty quickly or the coach is gone. Baylor, TCU, Houston, Tech, A&M are all out there trying to get the states best, plus all the out of state schools, ie LSU, Bama, Michigan, Okla, hell even Stanford now. Kids don't just grow up now dreaming of being a Longhorn. These kids have never heard of Earl Campbell or were in the 6th grade when Colt McCoy was rolling. I would never suggest how Charlie should run his program, but I hope moving forward that we don't have half the class left to fill with a couple of days until NSD. I am sure he know pretty much who he is getting and who he isn't, but for the fans like on this board it sure is nerve racking. Wednesday should be fun though.

Oooooooo Oooooooo- Coyote

What I find amazing is how shamefully biased ESPN is.

I do despise Briles and everything he has done with regards to the coverups in the rape case vs Sam.

That said what amazes me more is how ESPN goes after Baylor and others but seems to downplay the news from some of these true SEC schools like LSU and Bama.

I mean seriously how many LSU football players have been arrested for domestic violence.

Again trust me when I say I literally despise Baylor and Briles but my growing disgust with ESPN is on the same level.

I have posted very little in the last few weeks because everyone is craving inside info and I have none.

But I really appreciate all the posters on this board. A special thanks for the inside info to Juan, Utis, SHA, Aaron,Roach, Cruz, Dbook, MB, Big Daddy .... Damn I knew I would forget some.

And all of the posters who have made me laugh my ass off. I have worn out the "like" button.

Thanks to all and here is to a great finish.

Looks like no one has de-committed from Ole Miss

That's kind of amazeballs

They have not lost a single player from their entire 2016 class

The latest from LSU247 is that they still like their position with Fowler, they think they flip Sci Martin (and apparently see Fowler and Martin as independent of ea. other), and they think we get DCG (unless he changes his mind at last moment)

Not sure I agree about Martin, but whatevs

pretty good analysis...but I disagree with one point. As soon as Texas starts playing like the Texas of the past ( and we will play like that) we will once again be foremost in the in state kids minds.....winning will take care of most if not all of our recruiting problems.
