Two sides to the plan and he was a fall back option.
I like him.  I guess it could mean something about Anderson.

But the most likely scenario as of this moment is that we feel confident we got Jones and Brown

247 Bold Predictions (Ilike Hummer's prediction best) http://texas.247sports.com/Article/Texas-Longhorns-Question-of-the-Week-Bold-prediction-for-2016-42995056?utm_source=247Sports%20Newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=160121_084820_Texas%20Longhorns&utm_content=Link

Bobby Burton, Publisher  "I don't think calling for a Top 10 class is such a bold prediction right now. Sure, it could still go either way, just inside the top 10 or somewhere in the low teens. The momentum of Texas' class is certainly among the best in the country right now. So here's my bold prediction: Texas will sign at least six true freshmen that will end up starters in 2016, which is the exact same number that ended up every week starters in 2015. Also, at least 17 true freshmen will see playing time in 2016. Two back-to-back classes will reshape the future of the Longhorn program."

Jeff Howe, Senior Writer -- "My bold prediction is Texas winds up snagging elite safety Brandon Jones of Nacogdoches. All signs are pointing to the Longhorns being the team to beat for linebacker Jeffrey McCulloch, cornerback Eric Cuffie and defensive tackle Stephon Taylor. That's not to say any of those prospects are less important than Jones, but getting Jones would represent a victory by Charlie Strong over Kevin Sumlin, Bob Stoops and the other coaches at prestigious programs in the region in consecutive cycles for an in-state prospect ranked No. 1 nationally at his position. It will prove the worth of Jeff Traylor, who has done a tremendous job courting Jones, as a recruiter and give the Longhorns the five-tool safety program needs on the back end. With Malik Jefferson headlining the linebacker corps and Jones at safety, the Longhorns will have the makings of a salty back to seven on defense for the foreseeable future

Chris Hummer, Managing Editor -- "My initial thought was to reinforce my statement from a few weeks ago in this format that Texas would finish with a Top 10 class, but at this point, that's far from bold. So instead, I'll go with this: Texas will sign at least five Top 150 players, per the 247Sports Composite, that are currently not committed to the Longhorns. That means Texas will have to ink five players from among this group: Devwah Whaley, Jordan Elliott, Dontavious Jackson, Erick Fowler, Jeffrey McCulloch, Justin Madubuike, Deontay Anderson, Brandon Jones and Patrick Hudson. There are nine players there for Texas to go after, and honestly, Texas has a chance with all of them. Now, the Longhorns' prospects widely vary based on the player, but it's very possible more than 50 percent of that group signs with the Longhorns. Add those five to Jean Delance, who is already committed, and the Longhorns would have the same number of Top 150 prospects as they finished with last year. It's no guarantee, but it's also a bold prediction I feel good about making.

Higs in response to a question about who is in --

".... can't believe I am going to answer this but 11 deep -- I am sitting right now at 25 kids....However, "Once" a kid drops and goes public it will impact others at the position, this is something I also try and forecast in my list of Next 11 in so to speak."

As a reminder, we have 4 EEs in school already and  10 commits including Eboh.  Which is his 11 I think

1. Brandon Jones, 2. Dontavious Jackson, 3.Chris Daniels, 4. Stephon Taylor, 5. Lil Jordan Humphrey, 6. Deontay Anderson, 7. Erick Fowler, 8. Jordan Elliot, 9. Kyle Porter, 10. Patrick Hudson, 11. Jeffrey McCulloch
If you with the Houston group, you will prolly have to include Brown

See what Brown can do for you

My 11 as of right now

1-The Shark

2-Lil J. Humphrey

3-Irvin Smith JR

4-Chris Daniels

5-B. Jones

6-Chris Brown

7-D. Jackson

8-Christmas Giles

9-Cuffee

10-Hudson

11-M. Jackson

Like Higdon said, things are going to shift. DT and secondary is difficult to project because we have so many targets that are interested in us. Somebody is gonna be left out.

*If Eboh flips, replace him with Parrish Cobb (unless Deontay Anderson wants to come along).

I believe that would be seven 4 stars and four 3 stars. Depending on which rankings you sue. Very good none the less.

LSU got another commit (moving them back up to the current 247 #1 spot (sigh))

But also means they have one less spot overall at least

And 5-star DT Rashard Lawrence announces tommrw

We want him to go to LSU, smtg to watch for

There are also rumors that DT commit Glen Logan may be getting wobbly for them

We do not want this to happen

If it does, or if they dont land Lawrence, they will quickly to pivot to Taylor and/or DCG

Bomb- This is very close to what I would predict.

I have questions about Irvin Smith and DCG though, just because we haven't heard much out of them in awhile.

CB for Mark Jackson, first one in awhile.
I was told several weeks ago by a HS coach that he decommitted. It just hadn't gone public. It seems like A&M got a little bit of momentum in that recruitment after the All Star game, but not sure how much.

As of right now though I think he ends up at OU or Texas over A&M. Things might shift again if he visits A&M this weekend.

I have no doubt that at one point Jackson had decommitted from A&M.

Don't take this as a fact or anything because things shift in recruiting, but I wouldn't be worried about Irvin Smith Jr.
