Everyone has an agenda. It doesn't make their info or opinions wrong. If we only brought info or opinions to this board from people without agendas I would be staring at a blank screen.

Mannnn after trying to catch up on all this reading I'm so lost in this conversation

Higs says Devwah Whaley not visiting this weekend - hints that Texas changed his visit date.

So no RB's coming in this weekend.

If I gag MBHorns and lock him in the closet will you post the rest?   ;)

The Whaley Situation

Staff has felt somewhat confident in being able to flip Devwah Whaley from Arkiesaw. However, our depth chart is killing us in this race because we have FOUR already here (Foreman, Warren, Johnson, Houston). Meanwhile, Arkansas' top tailback just declared for the draft. DW likes the run-first approach of the Arkansas O.

There is an illness in the Whaley family that is reason for DW to want to stay close to home. Its a factor that works for us and against them. We'll see how much that means, soon.

Staff plans to roll out the red carpet for DW when he visits. UA is trying desperately to see that the UT visit does not happen.

This is a bare nuckles fight between Charlie and HawgHead.

My source also said that Porter will likely be a Horn. He did not sound enthused. I asked why. "He does not impress me at all. Very average back who looked much better because he played behind one of the best OLs in high school football at Katy. I think he just gets buried in the depth chart here. I'd rather give the spot to another DT."

i agree.  if we don't get DW, then let the RB slot go to next year and go after a DT.

Thanks SHA,

I wasnt impressed with Porter either but some are saying it was because he was hurt later in the year.

I like Anderson better, as mentioned several times before.

But Strong has a proven record as a keen evaluator of high school talent.

Hopefully, it shows that a source isn't agenda-driven. Guy doesn't care for Porter, but tells me Porter is coming despite his personal opinion.

Another nugget would be . . . Jimbo Fischer, Dabo Swinney, and Larry Fedora are three others (in addition to the Houston resident) that we are maintaining contact with and have shown above average interest.

Doesn't look "average" to me, but what do I know ... very efficient runner.  Makes good effective cuts, and they all seem to have a purpose ... doesn't seem to jitterbug around just for the sake of it.  Again, what do I know, but it seems to me that you take him if he wants to come and in a couple of years you put him behind that great offensive line that I hear we are building ... problem solved!

Holland thinks we keep Eboh

Points out he committed almost immediately upon receiving an offer from us

D’Andre Christmas-Giles set OVs to --

LSU - Jan 15

South Carolina - Jan 22

But says dates could change due to “personal issues.â€

I can't remember, but did he already visit Texas? I'm getting confused on all the visits.
NM, I forgot he was offered on his visit to UT on the 12th of December.
