“I talk to Malik almost every day.  We have a group message with a lot of Texas recruits like (McCulloch, Cuffee and Delance), and we just talk.  It’s really cool.  We don’t just talk about football.  We chop it up.â€

“I wouldn’t say (Jefferson) is a better recruiter than Coach Vaughn, but he’s up there (says laughing).  He just gets me more because he’s closer to my age. He gives me a lot of good advice because he just went through the process.â€

However, he is from Manor, his entire family (and most of his hometown) are all Texas fans

He is friends with Sam Ehlinger and has built a good relationship with Strong.

Also, he likes the idea of playing of playing the Fox position in Strong's defense while LSU has a new DC coming in

Fowler is, also, the step-brother of Tank Jackson.

"He’s a great, great, great coach.   A great guy, (he’s) probably one of the best guys who recruited me.  I used to call him all the time.  He used to answer at 12 at night and all that stuff.  I really thought I was going to play for him.â€

Alas, it appears he will not be.  Word is that his parents are insisting he keep his word/honor his commitment.  Plus, they say he really likes Chavis too.  Legit question exists of how we choked away this advantage.  JMad is a force on the field, it's a big loss.

"– D’Andre Christmas-Giles: Texas needs defensive tackles. Everyone knows that. Coach Strong needs the kind of defensive tackles that can come in play as true freshman. That level of lineman is a rare find. And trying to pull that rare player out of Louisiana when said player holds an LSU offer makes it even tougher sledding. But I spoke to someone close to 2016 DT D’Andre Christmas-Giles (New Orleans, LA) last night and was told that as of now, Texas is Christmas-Giles’ leader.

Christmas-Giles has stated publicly that he will be releasing his top 10 tonight. He also has some visits left to take in January (he’s already visited Texas and told our source that he will not visit Texas again). But despite releasing a top 10, we are told that he actually has a top 3 in his own mind which includes LSU (no surprise), Texas (no surprise) and…Tulane (believe it or not). And despite what I and many others would’ve assumed, LSU does not appear to be his leader. Was told that Christmas-Giles is very excited about the prospect (and in this case, a likelihood) of being able to play as a true freshman. That, and proximity, might explain him being so high on Tulane.

Christmas-Giles’ recruitment clearly isn’t over yet but the fact that we’re being told Texas leads LSU at the moment is no small thing since most, including us, considered the Tigers the biggest threat to Texas."

Houston could very well end up being the next Baylor, it's not hard to win in the state of Texas

To many L's this season has to be the main factor he's not with us and with coach job in the air

Did I not just say lol get your popcorn ready it's going to be a bumpy ride lol The key to Jones's recruitment is Taylor. He's been pouring the flood gates of East Texas pipeline recruiting asswhippin like a one legged donkey in an ass kicking contest.
