Apparently Brandon Jones is a silent commit to Texas, I know a GA at Texas and that's what he told me, I'm just a messenger but this guy is a friend of mine so I doubt he'd give me bad info

Great news! Hopefully it's true

The Giles commitment is starting to remind me of Mack's recruitment last year. Really hope we get him though.

It seems according to Higs DJax is not going to Texas
JS' Big Cigar said the staff still feels good about him

But, check out his OV schedule -- and some recognizable names

Jan 15 -- Gator -- primary recruiter - Chris Rumph

Jan 22 -- Bama -- primary recruiter  - Bo Davis

Maybe time really is a flat circle ...

Good news?

Zach Shackelford's last four follows on twitter are Connor Williams, Patrick Vahe, Peyton Aucoin and Tope Imade
Update --

Can add Gerald Wilbon and Lil'Jordan Humphrey to Shack's list^

His last 6 follows have all been Longhorn players or commits -- except for LJH who is still a recruit at this point (unless they just let the cat out of the bag on him?)

Aggy is blowing up

There may be casualties from this
Here is Big Cigar's version --

There was some consensus to fire Summy if he lost to Louisville.  However, the buyout is $20M.

They financed about $400M of their stadium repairs (repairs done when they were riding high at 11-2 with a Heisman winner).

But now circumstances have changed and the revenue picture does not look the same.  As a Dept. in a normal year, they bring in ~$112M while spending ~$98M (mens & womens).  But now they have this stadium debt, and payments jump in 2016 (he says $18-22M/yr).

Of course, the fiduciaries involved with the school want this athletics-related debt paid down pronto.  But with oil revenues in an extended general decline, our brothers find themselves in a bit of a financial bind.  And, thus, trapped with Stumblin.

OL coach Mattox's first stop after the dead period lifts is supposedly with Patrick Hudson

Hudson (6'5,325) is a 5-star OT commited to Baylor

Some talk that the sister-admission idea would not be an issue.

But Holland says he is "80% committed to Baylor" and thinks Hudson to Texas is "a longshot"

Anything on B. Jones?
Apparently Traylor and Jones have that East Texas thing going on

So Traylor not taking another job (like TSU) is a key

I dont know what he is really thinking about this, but one year as a college assistant to head coach seems like a big jump

I think Traylor stays at Texas, at least one more year.

Also think we land Brandon Jones when its all said and done.

Hummer (247 guy)  is calling Fowler 50-50 now

If you dont know the story, Fowler is a lifelong LSU fan and they are his dream school.

However, he is from Manor, his entire family (and most of his hometown) are all Texas fans

He is friends with Sam Ehlinger and has built a good relationship with Strong.

Also, he likes the idea of playing of playing the Fox position in Strong's defense while LSU has a new DC coming in

So, we will see
