Nice short video with DJax

Also article arguing Texas admins must let Strong hire Hurtt

http://www.scout.com/college/texas/story/1626085-finishing-the-mission-clint-hurtt

"..... Hurtt was with Strong at Louisville from 2010-13 without incident. Louisville athletic director Tom Jurich stood by Hurtt when the sanctions were released.

But that two-year, show-cause ended in mid-October and the Chicago Bears’ season is over on Jan. 3.

In addition to being a no-nonsense, defensive football coach, Hurtt is widely considered one of the best recruiters in college football.

At Louisville, Hurtt helped recruit QB Teddy Bridgewater, an NFL first-round draft pick, and S Gerod Holliman, who had 14 INTs in 2014 and won the Thorpe Award.

This is how much Strong thinks of Hurtt: Strong ended up turning down Tennessee (after initially accepting the job), because Tennessee wouldn’t allow Strong to bring Hurtt with him. The job ended up going to Butch Jones....."

Malcolm Roach says he likely will OV to Michigan
Says he is still solid to Horns
Really starting to hate Michigan

Michigan also liking their chances with Delance

The last 2 CBs have been to Michigan, and Michigan 247 says they are about to make it 3 consecutive

I just can't see any reason why he will not be a Longhorn. Grew up a Longhorn fan, reportedly grew up down the street from Vince Young (have no idea if that is true), and wants to major in Business. I would be shocked if he isn't wearing burnt orange next year.
Plus Roach's dad has close ties to Haley

I actually grew up down the street from Vince Young, same neighborhood. I don't recall DJax living there. But Marcel Southall was my neighbor til he moved to Dallas. So I guess my neighborhood breed top recruits lol.

If we can get Hurtt then I'd be pretty excited, he and Bedford worked well at Louisville with Bedford focusing on the secondary and hurtt focusing on the front 7 , this guy can recruit and with he, strong, Traylor, Vaughn , BJM, and Gilbert on the same staff, we could be on to something
Per HD:

"I hear Hurtt is willing to leave the NFL (and his progress toward the NFL pension) if Texas is ready to see him come to Austin and help turn around the Longhorns’ defense."

Some chatter that USC wants Orgeron back

(would be good for us since he is such a good recruiter -- just get him completely out of the area)

http://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/lsu-football/report-ed-orgeron-has-been-in-discussions-about-rejoining-usc/

"..... According to Scott Wolf of the Los Angeles Daily News on Wednesday, the Tigers defensive line coach could be headed back to the west coast to reunite with the Trojans as a defensive line coach.

The report states that new USC head coach Clay Helton has had discussions with Orgeron about a possible return with Wolf writing that “any deal could be contingent on whether athletic director Pat Haden approves on Orgeron returning and nothing will probably be determined until after LSU’s season is over.....â€

I love Orgeron rumors bc it always gives me the excuse to repost this

Any mention of which coach would be leaving to open up a spot for Hurtt?
