Regarding the Juco QB that we have talked to, are you really going to tell me that we're really interested in a QB that currently only has offers from Arkansas State and Memphis?
" ... An offer has not yet happened but I received word that the coaches will hold a recruiting meeting today. The two big needs I’m told they have and will discuss are JUCO quarterback and defensive tackle recruitment. With December JUCO graduates looking to sign in the immediate future, I look for Texas to make a definitive decision on guys like Ferguson this week, if not today."

How many big time programs are pursuing JUCO QB's?  Probably not many.  Most big time programs haven't completely f##ked up the QB depth chart like Texas has the last 5 years.

*Out of high school Ferguson had offers from Alabama, Clemson, Louisville, LSU,  Michigan, etc... and ended up signing with Tenn.
And yet, none of the teams that offered him out of high school are interested enough to offer him out of juco.

There are a lot of big time programs that could use a good QB. Hell, LSU is one of them.

Potential good news rumor on TE Irv Smith

Word is that his commitment to aggy maybe getting shaky

edit -- Mike Roach in another thread here thinks its gotten so bad over there that he's heard that players are telling recruits to look elsewhere.

Which is, of course, awful to hear.
I think Irvin is going to flip but I've got a feeling it will be to Bama. Just a gut feeling. Always terrible to hear about issues in Aggieland. Poor fellas.

Ferguson is a JUCO EE right? Doesn't that make the deadline tomorrow?

Yes, can you bring us some more aggy misery, please?

MB – you hearing anything about a possible transfer QB that hasn't been on our radar to date? Also hearing we may have a transfer moving out, a potential starter next year. Strong apparently is going to talk him off the ledge tomorrow.

I keep hearing about this potential transfer player but nobody is mentioning a name.

Just speculation but could it be Newsome? I remember a couple days ago he said he had a huge decision to make. I was thinking it was bc he was scared Norvell was not going to be retained. But who knows.
