2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

agree there. i'm not familiar with oregon's baseball program, but it has to be better than the crapshow that childress has put out.

Historically they aren't a good team. Actually they didn't even have a team through 1982-2008. Have one of the best coaches in the country now though in George Horton. 41-16 record this year, and they have improved every year under Horton. They will be challenging for titles very soon unless Horton jumps ship for a more attractive job.

Horton was such a coup at the time for that program. A program being brought back from the dead goes out and gets one of the top 3 coaches in the country, and the results were already starting to show just 2 years into the program.

Charles Omenihu was offered by LSU today, bet people aren't making fun of that pickup now with all the offers he's getting.

The latest on JUCO QB Fitzwater  is that he is supposed to be setting up a throwing session with Watson.

Quarterback Jake Rodrigues, who was in competition to serve as Marcus Mariota's backup with the Oregon Ducks, will transfer.

As a redshirt freshman in 2013, Rodrigues completed 3 of 6 passes for 67 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He shared the backup job with Jeff Lockie during the season, but neither emerged as a clear-cut No. 2 during spring practice.

Rodrigues decided to leave after meeting with coach Mark Helfrich on Monday morning, according to a Comcast SportsNet Northwest report.

"Football wasn't working out here, and that is why I am leaving," Rodrigues told CSNNW. "I am not leaving because of how people treated me or how much it rains here. I am leaving simply based on this football decision."

It was not immediately clear where Rodrigues, ESPN.com's No. 12-ranked quarterback in the Class of 2012, intends to transfer.

"The best dual-threat quarterback in the West, Rodrigues is just as dangerous running the ball as he is throwing. Strong arm and good in the short and intermediate routes. Needs to show better touch and b better in his decision making. Has so much confidence in his arm, he often forces throws where he thinks he can make them, only it's into coverage.
As a junior in 2010 at Rocklin (Calif.) Whitney, threw for over 2,100 yards and 21 touchdowns while running for over 1,300 yards and 21 more touchdowns."

Why is/was he our biggest cheerleader, and now open to visits? Hope he's just enjoying the process, and not really open.

Scout's LSU site says Charles Omenihu is open to visits but has no plans to. They said he'll narrow down a list of possible visits and that LSU, Florida, A&M and Oregon "have his interest."

LOL Omenihu isn't going anywhere. Strong encourages visits, he was known for that at Louisville. If anything he will be visiting these other schools to actively recruit for the Longhorns. Kid has continually been bashing A&M on twitter, the only reason he would visit is to try and recruit.

We are also looking at JUCO DT Deonte Reynolds of Contra Costa CC in San Pablo, CA (teammate of JUCO DE Takkarist McKinley)

From their coach
“They (Texas) said that they really like what they've seen from Deonte,†said Carter. â€œSo they’re in the process of evaluating him. He’s an absolute giant and a beast on the line. He currently stands 6-feet-6-inches and is right at 335 pounds. He’s a big dude with a lot of upside. He’s very physical."

“Right now he holds offers from Arizona State, Maryland, Oklahoma, Boise State and Kansas State,†Carter added.“We’ll see what Texas has to say, but hopefully they’ll offer him. I know they like what they’ve seen so far, so we’ll see where that goes.â€

A little more on Charles Omenihu.

He said that after his Spring game, he will announce a big decision for his future.

When questioned further by 24/7, he added, "don't worry you'll like what you hear."
